Here are the betting odds and preview for our free pick on the match between Real Madrid and Atletico Bilbao. Let's see where to place our money.

Don’t bother betting on Gareth (so called) Bale, if you want to see some $$$$$$$$ from a Real Madrid bet, bet on their match against Athletic Bilbao (but only if you are going to follow your Humble Handicapper’s tips).

First and foremost needs to be said that even though a time of press Gareth Bale is still a Tottenham player the only way they can get anything like £85 million of him as if they unload him to Real Madrid, but do they need him?

Whatever happens, he will probably not have any effect on this match.

Enough about Bale…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

Real Madrid need to take on Granada mid- week in the league while Athletic Bilbao get to put their feet up for until next Friday's clash. I really don't think that the rest will do them any favours as although Bilbao technically are in the same league as Madrid, they’re really not in the same league as Madrid.

Ahead of Madrid’s match against Granada they are looking at five consecutive victories in all competitions although they have only managed to keep one clean sheet in that run.

If you want to read anything into that he should probably bet on Bilbao scoring a goal but I doubt they'll score more than one, let me correct that; I doubt that Madrid will concede more than one as in all four of their games when they have conceded a goal (in their last five) they've only conceded a single solitary goal.

[gameodds]17/243647/?r3=349/dec&r-1=349/us[/gameodds]

Goals

Looking at their run against Granada as well, they conceded a single goal in three of their last four meetings but also have come out on top in three of their last four meetings. I think Madrid will have momentum, I think Madrid will score and will take both halves of this game and you should bet accordingly. A Madrid win is at 1/6, a draw is at 6/1 and a Bilbao win is at 16/1 (with BetVictor). Madrid winning both halves is at 4/9 (Short odds) while any result that sees Bilbao come out at toop is at 20/1 (winning both halves) or worse.

If you want to go crazy you can always bet on Bilbao to win this game, however be warned, the bookies have the lowest odd(ed) Bilbao correct score win at 40/1 (that’s 2-1). And that’s the same odds as Madrid winning 6-1. The only place that my wife's money is going is on a Madrid victory.

And I’ll let you into a little secret, the most typical outcome when these sides meet seems to be the 3-0 to Madrid. Madrid have won by that score the last three times they've travelled to Bilbao. In fact Madrid have won by a three-goal margin on four of their last five meetings with Bilbao.

They seem to score more goals when they’re at home, five the last time and four the time before that but they do seem to concede just the one

I'm going to something of a combination of the two and I think that Madrid will score three but they will concede one.

Free Soccer Picks: Real Madrid win 3-1 available at 9/1 with bet365.
