Once again there is money money money to be won in Spain Spain, Spain if you listen to your Humble Handicapper when athletic Bilbao travel to Valencia in Spain's top flight next Saturday. Your Humble Handicapper sees plenty of cash from this La Liga fixture, would you like some?
It's very difficult to talk about any Spanish football without talking about Real Madrid and Barcelona, so let's get that one right out of the way straight away. Real Madrid sit on top the table after 26 games on 64 point Barcelona are just one point behind on 63. This is as good a time as any to let you know that Real Madrid are 10/11 to win the league this term while Barcelona are 6/4. Looking past the top two in Spain you should know about Atletico Madrid are third favourites at best soccer odds of 16/1 to win the league, but that's hardly likely and then after that, there is a little team called Athletic Bilbao at 299/1. In Spain this year, more than any other year it is a two horse race.
Enough with the table…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
We only spend a little bit more time looking at the table before I tell you where your cash is. Atletico Bilbao now sit fourth on 50 points, a clear 11 points behind third placed Atletico Madrid and only six points ahead of fifth-place Villarreal. That means that Bilbao will hardly be likely to finish the season any higher than fourth, but could possibly drop a position or two if they take their eye off the ball.
What I'm trying to say is that in this coming match Bilbao have something to play for.

What of Valencia
Valencia are way down in ninth place in La Liga, one of five teams in the 30s (points). You should know that Valencia are 1/5 a top 10 finish.
Without further ado let's have a look at the basic win lose or draw odds for this clash; Valencia are at best soccer odds of 6/5 to win this one, Bilbao are 19/4 and the draw is at 5/2.
That's probably because the bookies like the idea of home advantage being Valencia's, but your Humble Handicapper sees a different way to make money out of this clash.
When the sides meet it’s usually a very close run affair as we've only seen a winner three times out of the last five (and twice that has been Valencia). When we have seen a winner it's usually been by a single goal to the home team, 1-0 back in March last year and 3-2 in October the year before. The odds and the home side winning 1-0 are 8/1 the home side winning 3-2 are at 25/1.
What's more likely is that we'll see a draw this game has ended 1-1 twice, most recently in the most recent encounter in October at Bilbao and then in October 2011 here at Valencia.
0-0 is offered up at soccer odds of 13/1 while 2-2 is at soccer odds of 14/1 and 3-3 is at 50/1. All worth cheeky loose change bets.
Also back both sides to score in this game as Bilbao have managed almost 2 goals per game this term, and Valencia have averaged about one and a half. The best soccer odds on both sides finding the back of the net are 4/7 for our soccer picks, and I'm sure they will.
Soccer Prediction: Both sides score by side share the points game ends 1-1 (again) available at best soccer odds of 7/1 with Ladbrokes.
