The Red Devils are favored to advance on to the next round, but nothing's a certainty with the way they've been performing. What kind of result will we see in Tuesday's first leg for our soccer picks?

Odds Overview

The soccer odds favor the Red Devils in the first leg, despite the fact they're away from Manchester. United is available at anywhere from +100 to +115 depending on the sportsbook.

You can find the hosts at an appealing price of +275 or so, with a draw quoted at +225 for now.

Olympiakos

What a dominant display it's been out of Olympiakos in the Greek Super League this season. Amazingly enough they've still yet to lose (24 wins, two draws) and they've built up a ridiculous 23-point lead atop the table.

Over the weekend the Greeks dispatched OFI Crete in a 4-0 away win thanks to a hat-trick from Marko Scepovic (who came on as a substitute in the first half) and an additional goal out of Paulo Machado.

Despite their fine form, the selling of top striker Kostas Mitroglou is very clearly a blow to Olympiakos' attacking forces. He was leading the entire league in goals (14), but now the Greeks will have to turn elsewhere for inspiration.

Javier Saviola is right up there on the scoring charts as well and will have even more responsibility to find the back of the net now. He's scored 11 times in the league. Michael Olaitan (eight) and Joel Campbell (seven) have also been contributing goals throughout the season.

Unfortunately for Olympiakos (and fortunately for United), Saviola picked up an injury over the weekend and has already been ruled out for Tuesday. Olaitan and Campbell will likely lead the front-line with Saviola out, though Scepovic's performance should put him in contention too.

Manchester United

Will we see a run of good form for United to close out the season?

The Red Devils got a much-needed three points in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, but they just may be too far behind to surge into the top four at this point. They're 11 points behind Liverpool right now, meaning so much would have to go right for United.

Both strikers got in on the goalscoring against Palace, with Robin Van Persie converting a penalty and Wayne Rooney scoring on a terrific volley.

Manager David Moyes will be hoping his boys can build off that performance as they get set to head to Greece for a crucial first-leg encounter with Olympiakos. A great showing in the Champions League could really take some of the heat off Moyes.

Truth be told, we've actually seen some great results out of United away from home, including that 5-0 thrashing at Bayer Leverkusen. We'll have to wait and see what kind of attitude they bring to Tuesday's match.

Champions League Pick

Mitroglou is gone and Saviola is injured, yet we still believe Olympiakos will be making life very difficult on the Red Devils here in the first leg.

We've already seen that others have been able to step up and get goals for the Greeks and this is a team that's been playing extremely confident soccer all season long. Regardless of the competition, it's a remarkable feat to still be undefeated in the league through 26 fixtures.

The Red Devils have done much better in Europe than they have domestically in 2013/14, but we're simply not sold on them as favorites. Instead, let's go with a draw as one of our soccer picks for the upcoming Champions League action.

Soccer Pick: Olympiakos 1 Manchester United 1
