Chelsea's title bid suffered a few minor setbacks in recent weeks, but they'll be happy to face league lightweights Hull City in round 30 of Premier League betting. By the odds, it's forgone conclusion: a Chelsea win is almost certainly on the cards. So where are the value soccer picks?

Hull City Fighting For Premier League Survival
Hull City have climbed out of the relegation conversation and, for the time being, they are fifth in the group of clubs most likely to be relegated this season, behind QPR, Leicester, Burnley and Sunderland. As it is, they are priced at +275 soccer odds to be relegated, but things could turn on a dime for the Tigers. All it would take is a bad spell over the next few weeks to forfeit their top-flight credentials by season end

Come to think of it, the beginning of the end  is a realistic upshot of their date with Chelsea this weekend and soccer bettors may actually want to consider a small stake on Hull City's relegation odds while the offer betting angles for profit.

Sat in 15th place, behind a 6-10-13 mark, Hull City are only three points clear of the drop. Most recently they settled on draws to Sunderland and Leicester, two of their relegation pals on the Premier League odds board. Consider they weren't able to take more than a point off relegation rivals, what chances do they have against Jose Mourinho and his league-leading Blues? Who, one might add, are desperate to get back to winning form and will be looking for a scapegoat to vent some of their recent frustrations upon.

Is it any wonder the Blues are an almost a sure bet to win at -225 soccer odds. It's justifiably a tall order for Hull City (matched at whopping +800 soccer odds to win outright) and the sort of match that could push the teetering Tigers to the relegation edge and, in turn, send them down a path towards Championship oblivion.

What's more, the Tigers have received no favors from the Premier League schedulers as they are slated to take on Swansea City, Southampton and Liverpool (in that order) immediately afterwards. And three of their last four games include dates with Arsenal, Tottenham and Man United. Yikes.

Chelsea Hot Faves
Chelsea's title bid has wobbled on a couple of costly draws in recent weeks: a 1-1 draw to Burnley and Southampton, respectively. That has allowed some of their nearest title rivals to quietly entertain title hopes, but nothing more than a bit of aimless musing has occurred so far. Needless to say,  it's going to be imperative for the Blues to nip those in the bud before one of these rivals actually does make a significant move up the table and challenges what appears to be their preordained right in Premier League futures.

To be fair, they had the distraction of Champions League at the time of their dip in domestic form. But that's all done with now that PSG dumped them from the competition and they can focus solely on clinching the Premier League title, which is firmly cornered in their camp at -1400 futures odds or thereabouts across sports betting platforms.

The Blues have had a rough few weeks, so a date with Hull City is exactly what the doctor ordered. A soothing balm to their bruised egos and an opportunity to reaffirm their self-professed brilliance and superiority to all and sundry.

Chelsea have won their last three fixtures with Hull City by the same score: 2-0. The last time they dropped points to the Tigers was in 2010 when they settled on a 1-1 draw at Kingston Communications Stadium.

Soccer Betting Verdict:
This is one of the most lopsided soccer betting markets trading this weekend and it's unlikely that soccer bettors will go against the grain. In all likelihood the Blues will win. Backing Chelsea at -225 soccer odds, however, doesn't tempt us on our Soccer pick. Far better angles for profit can be found periphery betting markets, such as half-time betting where Chelsea to win both halves trading at +120 and the Over 2.5 at +110.

Soccer Picks: Chelsea to win both halves at +120; Over 2.5 at +110
