It's been a struggle for the Red Devils this season, but they should be able to secure three points at home against league-worst Fulham. Right? Join our handicapper in finding the value soccer picks for this Premier League match.

Odds Overview

One look at the soccer betting lines and it tells the whole story. United is a heavy favorite in the -475 to -500 range.

Fulham is given the slimmest of chances to get a victory, being listed at +1700 or so, with a draw ranging from +550 to +650. It's going to take another massive letdown for the Red Devils for the Cottagers to get even a point out of this match.

Manchester United

One step forward, two steps back. The Red Devils looked the part in a 2-0 home win over Cardiff City, but they suffered another setback in a 2-1 away loss to Stoke City.

Robin Van Persie had leveled the affair at 1-1 apiece, but a stunning goal from Charlie Adam minutes later ended up being the difference. United had Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata on the pitch at the same time, but was still unable to find fluidity to their play.

Failing to get anything out of that match, the Red Devils are now in seventh place in the Premier League, five points behind fifth place and seven outside of the top four. You'd have to say United would instantly take it if you offered a place in the top four right now, something we wouldn't have imagined saying before the season started.

Luckily, there's still time. The Red Devils have gotten their best attacking players back and maybe they can start a run.

However, it was just announced that captain Nemanja Vidic will be leaving the club after this campaign is over and that's a massive blow to the morale around camp. Making matters worse, both Jonny Evans and Marouane Fellaini have been ruled out for Sunday's encounter in Manchester.

Fulham

Rene Meulensteen has not been enjoying his stint so far as Fulham's head coach. He took over for Martin Jol but the results haven't been any better.

The Cottagers are dead last in the Premier League, having lost 17 of their 24 league matches so far. They have a horrendous goal differential of -31, which is by far the worst of any team in England's top flight.

Since a rare win over West Ham (2-1), Fulham has lost four consecutive matches in the league and also bowed out to Sheffield United in the FA Cup. The Cottagers got killed 4-1 by Sunderland and 3-0 by Southampton at home and then lost to both Arsenal (2-0) and Swansea City (2-0) away.

There's no doubt that their most recent loss, to League One Sheffield, was the most embarrassing. Fulham was at home but put forth a terrible display despite the fact they went with a pretty strong starting XI.

Clint Dempsey, Scott Parker and Pajtim Kasami were just a few of the names that were on the pitch for the cup loss. There was no killer instinct though and the visitors, two levels below Fulham on the league pyramid, actually out-shot Meulensteen's men.

Premier League Pick

For our soccer pick we are recommending readers back United to get back on track with a win over the Cottagers this weekend.

This has more to do with Fulham's struggles than anything else. The Red Devils have done little to inspire confidence in this campaign so far, but the addition of Juan Mata has made an impact already and the fact Rooney and Van Persie are healthy again is a huge boost as well.

But, as bad as the Cottagers have been, there's no way we can go against the Red Devils at Old Trafford. We're expecting David Moyes' gang to finally impress, leading to the all-important three points.

Pick: Manchester United 2 Fulham 0
