It's going to be near impossible to top that wonderful win over Tottenham, but the Citizens will try their best when they host Viktoria Plzen. What kind of lines are the bookies offering for us sports bettors?

Odds Overview

Along with Juventus (at home to FC Copenhagen), City is the biggest favorite on the soccer odds board for Wednesday's Champions League matches. They can be backed at -600, while Plzen is in a wide range of +1500 to +2000. A draw is also unlikely and can be found at +750, depending on which sportsbooks you follow.

Manchester City

So if you didn't know, the Citizens are pretty good at the Etihad.

Improving their home record to a spotless 6-0, Manchester City thumped Tottenham 6-0 over the weekend. They've now scored an out-of-this-world 26 goals in those six matches and have given up just two.

It was domination right from the get go from the Citizens. Jesus Navas opened the scoring in the first minute with a fine finish, Sandro had an own goal in the 34th minute and Sergio Augero scored four minutes before halftime to give City a 3-0 lead heading into the break. They didn't stop there though. Aguero and Navas both found the back of the net once again and Alvaro Negredo also got a goal.

The Citizens rose to fourth in the Premier League standings with the win, but how has their Champions League campaign been going?

Rather well indeed. City has already guaranteed their spot in the next stage of the competition, thanks to three wins out of four matches. Their one loss came at home to none other than Bayern Munich.

Viktoria Plzen

Right now it's a two-team race between Plzen and Sparta Prague in the Czech Liga. Currently Prague is on top with 39 points, with Plzen five points back, having recorded 10 wins, four draws and one loss in 15 league fixtures.

The Czech outfit was last in action on Friday when they beat Zbrojovka Brno 3-1 away from home.

Stanislav Tecl scored a brace and captain Pavel Horbath also got in among the goals as Plzen notched their third consecutive league triumph.

Tecl has paced the team with six league goals, while Daniel Kolar has added four of his own so far. In the Champions League campaign, only Marek Bakos and Frantisek Rajtoral have scored for the Czechs.

Group D hasn't been kind to Plzen and that's putting it nicely. They've yet to win a game and have a goal differential of minus 10. That's sure to get even worse on Wednesday at the Etihad against the in-form Citizens.

Champions League Pick

This one could really get out of hand if Plzen don't really buckle down and focus for the entire 90 minutes.

City is filled to the brim with confidence right now, having just embarrassed a top four hopeful in Tottenham at the Etihad. The goals are flowing in at an alarming rate and it's likely to continue on Wednesday.

Even if Manuel Pellegrini opts to rest some key players like Aguero, Toure and Navas, he can still call on the likes of Edin Dzeko, James Milner, Joleon Lescott, Javi Garcia and Micah Richards, all of whom started out on the bench against Spurs. Even Joe Hart may get a chance to re-gain some confidence after getting demoted.

No matter who starts, there's no reason to expect a huge drop-off in performance from City. Back another comfortable win at home with your soccer picks in this matchup.
