The team that did so well against Spurs last weekend (Man City) takes on the little side that did what most do at Fulham (win), that’s Swansea. If you lend an ear to your Humble Handicapper’s soccer picks and tips you can make money from their encounter.

At time of press and right before the 13th game in the 2013-1434 English Premier League season, City are sitting 4th in the table and Swansea are 10th. There may be 6 places between these two sides but there's also just seven points. If you apply your Humble Handicapper’s patented “rule of six” you see that Swansea are right on City’s heel’s but that says more about the topsey-turvey season that is unfolding than about the Swans’ skills.

Enough with the table…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

City are the better team, and if you doubt me you should know that City are 9/5 to win the league and 1/7 on a top four finish while Swansea are 2500/1 and 200/1, on the same finish with the sportsbooks. Soccer odds like that shouldn't tell you who’s going to win a game (just look what underdogs Cardiff did to Manchester United last weekend) but it actually does tell you who’s going to go and win this game.

Your Humble Handicapper is expecting one-way traffic with Manchester slant for his soccer picks.

Ask me why…I dare you. Well the Citizens  have a 100% record at the Etihad Stadium, in the Premier League this season and have gone and scored 26 goals at home. When you consider that they have scored just eight on their travels you can see why home is where the points are.

That’s probably why Swansea are 10/1 with the sportsbooks to win this game while City are 1/3 and a draw is at 4/1. I’m staying well away for the draw because City have only drawn once all season and Swansea have won and been beaten more often than they’ve tied a match, in the 12 games so far.

If you want the pill sugared any more check out these soccer odds, City winning both halves is at 4/5, Swansea winning both halves is at 20/1, the game being Swansea’s at the break and City’s on the 90 is at 28/1 (worth a cheeky bet) but the game being in City’s favour when the half time oranges come out and Swansea's when the final whistle blows is at 66/1, stay away from that one – even at those odds.

Don’t forget Swansea have only one win in their last six matches, and that was against circling-the-drain Fulham. And Swansea haven’t scored against City in their four Premier League meetings (but have conceded 6).

It’s going to be all about City so the only way to make some clever money from the soccer odds is by backing the right score.

City have scored six, five and seven in their last three home games (in all competitions) so it has to be a different number.
