Expect Manchester City to start making amends for the Cardiff cock-up in their very next game, it’s just bad luck to be the side on the receiving end of their ire… Hull City Tigers. Let's look at what the bookies have in store for our EPL Soccer Betting Odds.

A Tale of Two Cities.

There is a world of difference between Hull City and Manchester City. Manchester are 2/13 with betfair on a top three finish for our Soccer Picks, while Hull are 66/1 (with the same bookies). Plus, everybody knows that Manchester City are 7/4 favourites to win the Premier league (actually they WERE 7/4 favourites, it’s now more like 23/10) and Hull City Tigers are 4/6 (and second favourites) to be relegated you should know the last time the sides met back in 2010 it was the Tigers came out on top. That game ended 2-1 to Hull, a repeat of that score is at 45/1 with Paddy Power. While a reverse of that score is at a mere 8/1 (with the same bookies) and is considerably more likely as the odds tell us.

I reckon that that victory was Hull’s once in blue moon result and we won’t see its like again for some time.

Goals for Tigers?

Considering that Hull’s only goal this season has come from an awfully soft penalty (at Norwich last Saturday) I'm expecting Manchester City to keep a clean sheet. Even if Manchester City are without the big man Vincent Kompany, due to his groin injury (he picked up against Newcastle) they still shouldn’t be troubled by Hull.

What Have Cardiff Got to do With it?

Hull faced Cardiff three time in the last 23 months and the three games couldn’t have been more even. Five goals for Hull, five for Cardiff plus a home win and a draw apiece.

It’s interesting because if we’re calling Hull an equal to Cardiff, they should do as well as Cardiff when they face Manchester City. Hull to repeat Cardiff's shock 3-2 result against City is at 125/1 with Coral, while a repeat of the half time / full time way the game played out (drawn at the 45 and Hull’s on the 90) is at 40/1 soccer betting odds.

[gameodds]2/243522/?r-1=349/us[/gameodds]

On a More Practical Note

Hull have to face Leyton Orient in the Capital One Cup, so might have slightly tired legs when they face City. That’s just one of the reasons why a Manchester City win is at 1/6, a draw is at 6/1 and a Hull victory is at 16/1.

Your Humble Handicapper is throwing his weight behind the bookies and expecting Manchester City to start erasing the memory of the Cardiff game against Hull City Tigers.

Free Soccer Picks: City win 3-0 available at 7/1 with William Hill.
