Liverpool vs. West Ham
The soccer odds essentially speak for themselves here. The Reds are favored to the tune of -300, while the visiting Hammers are as high as +800.
A draw, installed at +375 at the top sportsbooks, is never an impossibility in this crazy league, though West Ham will have to be at their very best to get even a point.
The Reds returned from the international break to beat Aston Villa 2-1 away from home.
Things weren't looking so good when Liverpool went down 1-0 in the first half, but Brendan Rodgers' side came out with extra verve in the second half. Jordan Henderson finished off a lovely pass from Coutinho, before Steven Gerrard put the visitors ahead for good with a 60th minute penalty.
The Reds have looked strong at Anfield lately, winning five of their last six matches there. Included in there are some dominant wins, including over Fulham (4-0), Sunderland (3-0), Norwich City (5-0), and Swansea City (5-0). We can't forget about that 3-2 win over Tottenham either.
There's still a sizable gap between Liverpool and the top four, however. They're seven points behind fourth-place Chelsea, who also have a game-in-hand, while the Reds are five points back of fifth and that Europa League spot.
In short, there's no other option but a win for Liverpool at this point in the campaign which bodes well for our soccer picks.
The Hammers are currently 11th in the Premier League, with a 3-1 home win over West Brom doing wonders for the team's confidence ahead of this weekend's trip.
West Ham was dominant throughout, but it was Andy Carroll that was the man of the match. He scored a brace, further reminding England boss Roy Hodgson what he's capable of when he's injury-free and match fit.
Unfortunately for the Hammers, they won't be able to utilize Carroll, potentially leaving the door open for Carlton Cole to return to the starting XI.
When making your soccer picks, you must take into consideration West Ham's horrendous form away from home.
Out of 15 matches, West Ham has won just three times outside of Upton Park. They've lost 10 of those matches, while scoring only nine total goals and allowing 26. That most definitely does not bode well for this visit to Merseyside.

Premier League Pick
In the first meeting between these sides, the Reds squeaked out a 3-2 victory at Upton Park. Glen Johnson, Joe Cole, and Jonjo Shelvey scored, with the winner come with just over 10 minutes remaining.
Liverpool's makeup has changed a little bit since then, as they're in arguably their best form of the term. The Reds have gotten immediate contributions from Coutinho, while Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard continue to work wonders together.
West Ham's been a tough nut to crack at home, but they lose a lot of their guile when playing in hostile environments.
We look for the Reds to set the tone early, leading to a rather comfortable victory in front of the Anfield faithful.
