How will the Reds respond after picking up their second league loss of the season? Check out our soccer pick for their home encounter with Fulham.

Odds Overview

The soccer odds are very much in Liverpool's favor this weekend as they return home to Anfield to face off against the Cottagers.

Current lines show the Reds in the -425 to -450 area, with Fulham at a whopping +1300 and a draw at +515. You can find all of these lines and more over at our comprehensive odds overview (for all sports) at

Going into the Emirates and beating Arsenal, or even getting a point, was never going to be easy, and that certainly held true last weekend.

Liverpool couldn't find their way past the Gunners despite generating quite a few chances. Santi Cazorla scored on a fine solo effort in the first half and Aaron Ramsey pretty much put the match out of reach with his long-range effort in the second half.

The loss for the Reds means they're now five points behind Arsenal in the title race. They're at 20 points alongside both Chelsea and Tottenham.

While it's never encouraging to lose, there were some positive signs to come from the match. Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge continued to make things happen up front, while Philippe Coutinho's return bodes well for the future. There's a great chance we'll see Coutinho return to the starting XI for this weekend's match after getting through his substitute appearance without any setbacks.

Liverpool's form at Anfield has been good this season as well. They're won four out of five matches and have allowed in only three goals overall. Can they put forth another disciplined performance in the back on Saturday?

After thumping Crystal Palace 4-1, the Cottagers have fallen off in a major way, losing three straight matches across all competitions.

First they lost 2-0 away to Southampton before a 4-3 loss to Leicester in the Carling Cup. Then, last weekend, Fulham fell 3-1 at home to Manchester United.

Alexander Kacanikilic scored for the Cottagers in the second half but by then it was way too late. The Red Devils came out on fire and scored there goals in the first 22 minutes, which all but sealed up the match for the visitors. Fulham did make the United defense work, but those early defensive shortcomings proved to be too much to overcome.

These Cottagers do have some well-known faces like Dimitar Berbatov, Darren Bent, Scott Parker and Adel Taarabt, but the pieces just haven't come together for Martin Jol. At this point in the season, Fulham is just two points away from the relegation zone.

In unrelated squad news, Sascha Riether has been banned for three games after his ludicrous stomp on Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj and will therefore be unavailable for the trip to Anfield.

Premier League Pick

This really isn't a good situational spot for Fulham. They have to take on a Liverpool team that's desperate to bounce back and one that still created a lot of chances against Arsenal despite falling short in terms of the result.

Against the Cottagers, who have already given 15 goals this term, we look for the SAS partnership to dominate this affair and carry Liverpool to the three points. They've already scored 14 league goals between them and are very likely to add to that tally here.

Fulham may get one goal past, but look for the Reds to handle the occasion well for our soccer picks and control the match from start to finish.
