Luis Suarez and the Reds are in devastating form as they get ready to host Cardiff this weekend. Have we found the best soccer betting value?

Odds Overview

A brief glance at the soccer odds and we see Liverpool in and around -500 to win straight up at Anfield. Cardiff can be backed at a price as high as +1400, while the draw is at +550.

Liverpool

Another fantastic performance from the Reds saw them thump Tottenham 5-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday. It was certainly the best match from Liverpool so far in this campaign.

Andre Villas-Boas could only look on helplessly as the Reds dominated from start to finish. Luis Suarez scored twice and Jordan Henderson, John Flanagan and Raheem Sterling also got goals in the victory.

A red card for Paulinho didn't help, but that's not why Liverpool won. They played with intensity from the get go, pressuring relentlessly to get the ball back and then making the right decisions going forward in attack.

Suarez was sensational once again. He's now scored 17 league goals in 11 appearances and is showing no signs of slowing down. The Uruguayan was given the captain's armband in place of the injured Steven Gerrard and we're eager to see if he gets it again this weekend.

What Brendan Rodgers has to be most excited about is the performance of some of his younger players, including Sterling, Henderson and even Joe Allen. All three were instrumental in the victory in London and will be featured in the starting XI again on Saturday. Will they help Liverpool improve their already splendid (seven wins, one loss) form at Anfield? Being so highly favored, it would seem that the sportsbooks think so.

Cardiff City

The Blackbirds took advantage of West Brom's poor form to win 1-0 at home last weekend, a much-needed result for Malky Mackay's gang whom had not won in five matches.

Another raucous crowd at Cardiff City Stadium was on hand to see the win, with Peter Whittingham's header midway through the second half proving to be the difference. Whittingham now has two goals and a team-leading three assists in Premier League play this season.

Those three crucial points mean the Blackbirds are in 15th place, with four wins, five draws and seven losses in total through 16 fixtures.

However, not only has Cardiff been struggling to score goals (just 12 in all this term), they've been quite poor away from home as well. In eight away matches they've recorded a single win, while scoring four goals and allowing in 12.

Of course, that's not a good omen ahead of this trip to Anfield, where the in-form Reds await their next challenge. Can Cardiff pull off a surprise result and hold Suarez and Liverpool at bay?

Premier League Pick

We really like what the Blackbirds have been doing as a newly promoted side, but they're likely to run into a wall at Anfield on Saturday.

Liverpool is playing terrific soccer right now, even with Gerrard and Sturridge out, and it's not like they have any other competitions to worry about. The Reds should be fully rested and prepared for this visit of Cardiff.

With Liverpool having lost just once at home this term, Suarez in unstoppable form, and the Blackbirds leaving a lot to be desired with their showings outside of Wales, we're envisioning another dominating win for Brendan Rodgers' outfit. To get the best bang for your buck though, consider taking Liverpool to win by two or more goals for your soccer pick.
