Odds Overview

Lazio is the short favorite at home, getting quoted at right around +150 to win. That leaves Milan in the +190 to +215 range, depending on the sportsbook of choice, with a draw trading at right around +230 on the soccer odds board. As you can see, this match is expected to be extremely close.

Lazio

The Biancocelesti have hit a better run of form lately, winning three of their last four Serie A matches outright.

The one setback came at home to Atalanta (0-1), but Lazio was able to get the best of Sassuolo (3-2) at home and both Fiorentina (1-0) and Cagliari (2-0) away.

It was a comfortable outing for the Biancocelesti against Cagliari, with an early goal from Senad Lulic setting the tone. Keita essentially put the match to rest after scoring one minute after Mauricio Pinilla had missed a penalty for the hosts. Lazio was able to cruise for the remainder following a red card being shown to Daniele Conti in the 77th minute.

Still in seventh place, the Biancocelesti need to keep picking up points wherever possible to at least get into the top six and a subsequent Europa League berth. There's no chance of reaching the top three, so the focus should be on catching Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Parma.

Home form has been good for Lazio so far and that should serve them well against an under-performing Milan side. Miroslav Klose and company have gone 7-3-3 on their own pitch with 19 goals for and 12 against.

AC Milan

Things went from bad to worse when the Rossoneri lost once again, this time at home to Parma. Milan was shocking defensively and allowed four goals in a 4-2 loss at the San Siro.

That's now four consecutive defeats for Clarence Seedorf's squad. They've lost to Juventus (0-2), Udinese (0-1), Atletico Madrid (1-4 in the Champions League) and now Parma.

Against Parma, it was a nightmare start for the Rossoneri. Christian Abbiati received a straight red for a challenge in the box and was sent off, with Antonio Cassano stepping up and slotting home the penalty as a result.

Despite goals from Adil Rami and Mario Balotelli that evened up the match, it wouldn't last. Amauri and Jonathan Biabiany added goals for the visitors and Milan was condemned to yet another unacceptable loss.

There's no doubt the Milan camp is a mess right now. Various players were called in to speak with the representatives of the ultras, the Rossoneri's faithful supporters, about what's been going wrong and there have been numerous protests. Simply put, Milan needs a positive result here and now.

Serie A Pick

This has truly been a disastrous season for all of those involved with Milan, but we do think they'll show up with a gritty effort this weekend.

We can't simply dismiss the amount of talent within this squad and that quality alone should keep them competitive, even without Abbiati in goal and up against a rather in-form Lazio outfit.

With our soccer picks, we look for a good amount of chances on both sides, but will ultimately go with a draw at +230. Will the Rossoneri show some pride?
