Can Fiorentina continue their undefeated streak this weekend? They'll enter as the soccer odds-on favorites for their home date with Genoa.

Odds Overview

There's no hiding who online sportsbooks are favoring for Sunday's battle. Fiorentina is listed at -280 to win, while a Genoa victory would give backers a huge profit of +1000. A draw can be found in the range of +350 to +400 soccer odds.

Viola has enjoyed a fine campaign in the Serie A up until this point.

At the moment we can find Fiorentina in fourth place, three back of third-place Napoli, seven behind Roma and 15 off the pace of league-leading Juventus. Viola finds themselves ahead of big-time names like Inter Milan, Lazio and AC Milan and that's nothing to take lightly.

Since losing 2-1 away to Roma, Fiorentina has achieved an eight-match unbeaten run, with seven wins and one draw during the span. They were last in action on Thursday in a 2-1 Coppa Italia victory over Siena.

Josip Illcic scored in the first half, but it was Marvin Compper's header in the second half that proved to be the deciding moment. With that hard-fought victory, Fiorentina now moves into the semi-finals of the competition.

While they've been managing just fine recently, it may be hard for Viola to keep this sort of pace without their best player. Giuseppe Rossi, who leads the team with 14 league goals along with three assists, is recovering from a bad knee injury and Fiorentina will need everyone else to continue to elevate their games.

The Rossobleu are tenth in the Serie A table right now, which puts them one point ahead of the famous AC Milan.

Failing to find much consistency, Genoa has alternated wins and losses over their previous four league matches. They beat Sassuolo (2-0) and Inter Milan (1-0) but couldn't figure out Roma (0-4) or Bologna (0-1).

Last weekend's win over Inter should help boost confidence though. The honors were all even for most of the match, but Luca Antonelli scored on a header in the 83rd minute and that was all Genoa needed in the end.

It was yet another good result at home for the Rossobleu, who have now recorded five wins, three draws and two losses in 10 matches at the Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Unfortunately, they've failed to replicate that form away from home, where they've lost six of 10 matches with a minus-six goal differential.

In attack, Alberto Gilardino will be the one to watch for Genoa. The 31-year old, who moved over from Bologna, has scored a team-best eight goals, with no other player scoring more than two league goals for the club.

Serie A Pick

With Fiorentina in good form and Genoa not doing their part away from home, we're going with the home team to win as one of our soccer picks.

The Rossobleu, as we noted, haven't been consistent with their performances and we have our doubts that they'll be able to post another clean sheet against a Viola side that's been averaging over two goals a game at home this term.

So, even without Rossi out there making things happen, we look for Fiorentina to keep their unbeaten streak alive with another impressive showing. Back the home side to take all three points with your Serie A picks for Sunday.
