There’s money to be won if you know where to bet when Copenhagen host Galatasaray in the Champions League this Tuesday. So check out where we've decided to place our cash!

It may look like there are slim pickings to be had, but if you just respond to the golden touch of your Humble Handicapper and his top soccer picks you can make the most of these soccer odds.

Copenhagen are on a three game winless run, they’ve lost their last two and their only ray of joy in that run was a 1-1 home draw with Juventus back in September. What’s more in their last five they’ve only won one (although two in that run were draws).

Galatasaray have quite the opposite problem and it’s their four game winning run that means that the soccer odds on this match all point to an away win.

Here’s the basics in terms of football betting:

Galatasaray are a 11/10 to win this match, while a draw (surely the best Copenhagen can hope for) is at 13/5 and the long shots of a home win is at soccer odds of 11/4. If you’re confounded by the maths here, the sportsbooks have Galatasaray wining at these scores (1-0, 2-1) as considerably more likely that Copenhagen winning the game. The shortest soccer odds with the sportsbooks on the correct score for a Copenhagen win are 1-0 at 11/1. The odds on a draw for them run as low as 6/1 on 1-1, and that should speak volumes about what’s going to happen when they meet.

And just in case that wasn’t clear enough for you, Galatasaray winning the Champions League is at 150/1, Copenhagen doing it is at 1000/1.

The half time / full time result throw no more bones to  the poor bettor out there, Copenhagen wining any half is at 11/2 that’s them winning both halves.  By comparison Galatasaray wining both halves is at 2/1. If you want to spin some money out of these soccer odds, you’d have to bet on something other than Galatasaray winning both halves. Copenhagen winning the first 45 before the inevitable happens is at 28/1, but a more sensible bet of the game being tied on  the 45 before the inevitable happens at 9/2, surely one of those is worth a few bob.

I find it hard to imagine anything unexpected happening.

Galatasaray haven’t scored less than two goals in any of their last five games, so don’t back a score any lower than 2-0, that’s at 11/1.

However, the side who will win this game have conceded goals in each of their last five games, usually just the one (that’s happened four time and they’ve let in two in the other game in this run).

Therefore I’d say that a decent bet is the game going Over 2.5 goals which is at 17/20, although Under is at 19/20.

So if you want money from the bookies, back a variety of scores starting with two goals for Galatasaray and one for Copenhagen.

Soccer Pick: Galatasaray win 3-1 available at 17/1 with Bet Victor.
