There's no better cure to the blues than a win. Can the Eagles come up with a surprise victory at home over Everton? Find out where we have decided to place our soccer picks in this Premier League matchup.

Odds Overview

The fact that soccer odds list Palace as a +525 underdog on their own pitch tells you all you need to know about the side's troubles this season. The parity in the Premier League has been good, but there's no doubt about who the worst team in England's top flight has been. The Toffees meanwhile can be found at -185, and a draw can be added to your sports picks at +330.

There hasn't been much of a dropoff at all in performance from the Toffees after a change at manager. David Moyes is now in Manchester, and his replacement, Roberto Martinez, has come in and done an admirable job so far.

Everton's been playing an attractive brand of soccer this season and the accompanying results haven't been too shabby either.

A three-match unbeaten run in the league has Everton tied on 19 points alongside Manchester City and Southampton for fifth place. The Toffees are just six points behind league-leading Arsenal and only one point back of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

It's hard not to like what Everton's doing, especially with new boys Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry making big impacts already.

Boy, what a great bit of business it was to bring Lukaku on board on a loan from Chelsea. He's scored a team-leading five goals and has been a constant menace to opposing defenders because of his brute strength and deadly finishing ability. Barry has brought stability to the midfield and his calm playing style has helped Everton settle down and control possession.

Crystal Palace

You're not having the best of time if you're a Palace fan. This season, after getting a surprise promotion, has been an utter disaster.

At this moment, the Eagles are in the basement of the Premier League. In 10 league matches, they've won only one time, giving them just three points out of a possible 30 to start the campaign. Their goal differential stands at minus 15.

Will a full week of rest and preparation help Palace? They've been off since last weekend's 2-0 away loss to West Brom.

The Eagles had 12 total shots, four of which were on goal. They had some good opportunities, but a lack of a killer instinct came back to haunt them once again. That's been a frequent theme for a Palace team that's scored a meager six goals overall this season.

In fact, Dwight Gayle is the only player who's scored multiple Premier League goals in this campaign. Where are the goals going to come from against a solid Everton defensive line?

Premier League Pick

The only things going for Crystal Palace ahead of kickoff? They're at home and they have absolutely nothing to lose at this point. Expectations are low and even getting a point out of this visit of the Toffees would be deemed a success.

Everton's defense, however, has been excellent lately. They haven't allowed a goal over their past 180 minutes of action, which includes an away win against Christian Benteke and Aston Villa and then the draw with the very talented Spurs. The Toffees should be able to corral a weak Palace side.

Everyone loves a nice underdog story, but it's going to take something a little crazy for Everton to lose this match. The Toffees are playing great soccer under Martinez and we look for them to dominate possession and end up with the three points.

Pick: Crystal Palace 0 Everton 2
