After the topsey turvey weekend in the EPL your Humble Handicapper turns back to Germany to squeeze some hard earned cash out. Borussia Dortmund V Bayer Leverkusen is just the sort of game that spells M-O-N-E-Y for anyone who follows my top soccer tips.

It’s not quite a top of the table clash but when second place Bayer Leverkusen travel to third place Borussia Dortmund both sides will treat this game as a test of their league winning credentials. And for the record the sportsbooks have Dortmund winning the league at best odds of 10/1 and Leverkusen winning it at soccer odds of 30/1.

With that in mind the bookies reckon it’s going to be a tight one. The soccer odds on Bayer winning are 5/1 while a draw is at 3/1 and a Dortmund win is at 4/7.

Neither side can really afford to let the game slip.

Bayer may well be four points behind league leaders  Bayern Munich, but Bayern Munich are 1/14 to win the league, so that’s not too much to be upset about.

While Leverkusen can’t catch Munich come the final whistle they can find themselves tied on points with Dortmund if they lose.

Dortmund have even more to play for.

As I’ve said Dortmund could tie Leverkusen on 34 points if they win (and if they win by 3 or more goals, they will have a better goal difference), but they are also just three points ahead of Borussia Monchengladbach. So not only do they want to win they also not want to lose.

The soccer odds may be quite tight, but the correct score sooccerodds make very interesting reading. The shortest correct score odds are on 2-1 to Dortmund at 7/1, but they are soon followed by 2-0 to Dortmund at 8/1.

If you perfer placing your soccer picks on the half Time / Full Time options, the bookies fancy Dortmund/Dortmund at 6/5, then Draw/Dortmund at 7/2.

What does the form say?

Dortmund have won ten of their 14 games this season while Leverkusen have 11. I’d say stay well away from the draw, because, these sides have only drawn one game (each) all season.

If you must go for a draw why not have some fun and go for 2-2. Leverkusen have scored 31 goals in the German league this season and Dortmund have scored 35. That well over 2 goals each on average.

If you think it’s going to be a less heavy goal game, check out Under 2.5 goals at soccer odds of 11/8. And you’ll likely be more interested to know that Leverkusen have let in 14 goals all season and Dortmund have let in 15. That would average out to just over one each per game. 1-1 is available at soccer odds of 9/1, but like I said I don’t like the sound of a draw.
