Has there been more of a foregone conclusion than this match up in Germany’s top flight. Bayern Munich host Eintracht Braunschweig with everything pointing to a home win, so you’ll need your Humble Handicapper to help you see where the money lies.

The past

First off let’s talk about a little bit of history, Eintracht Braunschweig have never before beaten Bayern Munich on their home soil, never.

The soccer odds are stacked heavily in the Bavarians' favour, and it makes little difference that captain Philipp Lahm has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. The bookies have a home win at 1/12, an away win at 50/1 and draw at 14/1.

What’s more the shortest correct score odds are on 3-0 at 5/1, followed by 4-0 at 6/1. The shortest correct score odds on an away win are on 1-0 at 60/1, which is about the same soccer odds as the home side winning 8-0.

It gets worse inside the sportsbooks for Eintracht Braunschweig. The odds on Bayern winning both halves are 1/3.

If you’re wondering why, it’s because despite their fitness issues, Bayern are practically unstoppable this season and they thrashed Borussia Dortmund 3-0 at Signal Iduna Park in their last league outing. That result put them four points clear at the Bundesliga summit.

Traveling light

The visitors have picked up just four points away from home all season, (that’s half of their eight-point total), but as their record at Bayern is; won none and lost 14, of their last 18 trips to Bavaria, they won’t expect much.

It’s gets worse/better

Bayern have won their last five straight and Eintracht have won one in their last five.

In fact Bayern have won 11 out of the 13 league games they have played this season, drawn two and not lost any. It’s not going to start this weekend. Also they have clocked up 30 goals and conceded just seven

Bayern have scored 12 in their last five and conceded two. They have also won their two of their last three games by the same scoreline, 3-0 and the other was 3-1. If you want to bet on them getting another 3 goal game the soccer odds on 3-0 are 5/1 and 3-1 is at 11/1, but don’t bother with 3-2 at 100/1 as I can’t see Eintracht getting one goal – let alone two.

Eintracht Braunschweig by comparison have nothing in their last two games and have only managed to find the back of the opposition net three times in their last five games.

Bayern clearly have proven themselves to be a top pick in all the Bundesliga, and our soccer pick for this particular match-up.

Prediction: Bayern Munich win 5-0 available at 10/1 with Coral.
