Atalanta plays host to Roma on Sunday for a Serie A matchup. Find out who we've decided to place our money on for our sports picks.

There’s yet another money winning opportunity over in Italy as second top Roma take on a team from the mediocre section of the Serie A table, that’s Atalanta. If you listen to the tips of your Humble Handicapper you can win big on this one.

Sunday sees so much hot soccer action that it’s a good job there was plenty of cash in Mrs Richardson’s shoe fund. She may complain that she really needs to buy some new boots this specific weekend, but she’ll be smiling all the way to the shops when these bets come in.

Enough with the happy wife…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

There’s money in this one sided encounter. Roma are the inform side, Roma are gonna win. The bookies seem to agree at the soccer odds on the outcome are as follows:

Roma are Evens to come out on top, a draw is at 12/5 and an Atalanta win is at 3/1. 3/1 makes it sound closer than it is because I can’t see Atalanta getting anything from this game.

Interestingly enough a lot of the bookies have gone for the game ending 1-1 as their favourite soccer pick, with the 13/2 soccer odds offered up on that score matching the 1-0 win to Roma (with some sportsbooks).

The correct score soccer odds make very interesting reading as the bookies offer up six different scores before an Atalanta win. Atalanta winning 1-0 is the most fancied Atalanta victory for the sportsbooks but that’s at a crazy 11/1. That’s a fair way behind Roma winning 2-0 at 17/2.

So it looks like we can all agree that Roma are going to win.

NB: Roma are 7/2 (second favourite) to win the league on Italy this year. Atalanta are 13/8 on a top ten finish by comparison.

Some might say:

The fact that Roma are on a three game drawing run is reason enough to bet on a draw, but not me. Runs come to an end and when you consider that Roma have beaten Atalanta in four of their last five games and have outscored them 12 goals to 7 (or 11- 3 if you discount Atalanta's win in February this year) it shows you who will win.

The bookies have Roma winning both halves at 19/10, a draw on the 45 and a Roma win on the 90 at 7/2, a pair of draws at 4/1 and Atalanta winning both halves at 7/1. You can see how the soccer odds are leaning.

Atalanta have lost three of their last five and failed to score in those games. I think that tells you all you need to know.

Soccer Pick: Roma win 1-0 at the best soccer odds of 13/2 with BetVictor.
