You may want to think twice before writing off Southampton's chances against the Gunners this weekend. Find out which soccer betting options have caught our eye inside.

Odds Overview

Arsenal, who still hold the top spot in the Premier League, is listed at -175 to win Saturday's match at the Emirates, leaving the Saints as +500 underdogs on the soccer odds board. A draw is available anywhere from +285 to +325.

Arsenal

Early November couldn't have gone any better for the Gunners. They beat Liverpool 2-0 at home and then went into Dortmund and won 1-0 in a wonderful Champions League victory.

However, momentum couldn't be maintained for Arsenal's visit to Old Trafford, as they fell 1-0 to the Red Devils.

It was ex-Gunner Robin Van Persie that settled the tie, scoring the only goal in a match where true goalscoring chances were few and far between. Still, it was never going to be a walk in the park to go into Manchester and get a victory, so it's not a calamitous result for Arsenal.

They'll try to get back on track at home, where they've own four of five matches while posting a goal differential of plus six. Already at the Emirates, the Gunners have beaten Liverpool, Napoli, Tottenham and Fenerbahce among others.

Aaron Ramsey (team-leading six goals) continues to impress, while Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla are ones to watch as well. All should be in the starting XI come Saturday.

Southampton

Just days after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Sunderland in the Capital One Cup, the Saints came roaring back to beat Hull City 4-1 in a Premier League match.

Morgan Schneiderlin, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana all scored in the first half, with Steven Davis getting in on the action in the second half. With England boss Roy Hodgson watching in the stands, Southampton put on a fine display from start to finish.

Thanks to their impressive form this season, Lambert, Lallana and Jay Rodriguez were all able to earn call-ups into the national team fold. It's a very promising sign for Southampton fans and signals just how far this team has come under Mauricio Pochettino.

Away from home, the Saints have won twice, drawn twice and lost only once in five league fixtures. They've scored four goals and allowed in three, quite a good defensive record if you ask us.

Standing out in those matches were top-notch results against Liverpool and Manchester United. The Saints beat the Reds 1-0 at Anfield and kept Manchester United at bay in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Is another encouraging result coming at the Emirates?

Premier League Pick

Here's another league fixture, along with the likes of Manchester City/Tottenham, Everton/Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund/Liverpool, that we are really looking forward to.

The Premier League is wide open this term and here we have two sides that look very up for the challenge, at least so far.

And while we absolutely love what Pochettino has done with this Southampton outfit, we think the Gunners will stave off the challenge and emerge as winners in what's going to be an enthralling test for both sides.

Arsenal needs to come out strong or they risk being the latest victims of the Saints and we expect them to show up for the occasion. Back the Gunners to escape with a narrow win as one of your soccer picks for the weekend.
