We return from the international break with a Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton. Who will be amongst the winner's circle in our soccer picks this week?

Odds Overview

The Toffees play host to Saturday's encounter and can be backed at a very appealing price of +200. The visiting Reds are favored in the range of +140 to +155, while a draw is at +235 at most of the top sportsbooks.

Right before the break, the Reds crushed Fulham 4-0 at Anfield, which was the perfect response after a tough 2-0 loss at Arsenal.

Fernando Amorebieta had an own goal for the Cottagers before Martin Skrtel's header put Liverpool up 2-0. Then Luis Suarez went to work, scoring a brace to give the Reds a very convincing victory at home.

With the Gunners losing to Manchester United, the win kept Liverpool just two points back of the league leaders. They're currently at 23 points, one ahead of Southampton, two up on Chelsea and two ahead of Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham.

Suarez has been even better than people could have expected after his memorable ban. He's already scored eight goals in six Premier League appearances, tying him with Daniel Sturridge, who's also in great form.

The worry for Liverpool has come with their inconsistent away performances. They've played outside of Anfield five times and have two wins, two draws and one loss to their name. What stands out most though is they've allowed seven goals, as opposed to letting in only three in six home matches.

Since losing 3-1 at Manchester City, the Toffees have gone four league matches unbeaten, which includes wins over Hull City (2-1) and Aston Villa (2-0) and draws with Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

Everton, however, will not have been too pleased with getting only a point against Palace, with the Eagles dead last in the standings with a paltry four points on the season.

A return to Goodison Park could be the perfect cure to that poor showing though, as the Toffees have still yet to lose on their own pitch. They've logged three wins and two draws, while giving up only three goals in total.

There's one man the Reds will need to pay special attention to and that's Romelu Lukaku. The on-loan striker has scored a team-leading five goals and his physicality could cause Liverpool a lot of problems and potentially swaying soccer odds in their favor.

Other players to keep an eye out for include Leighton Baines, with his marauding ability down the flanks, as well as Ross Barkley, who's quickly become a fan favorite for the club. Who will make the biggest impact this weekend?

Premier League Pick

Roberto Martinez has already done wonders with this Everton outfit, but can they pass this test at home against Liverpool?

We're not so sure. The Reds are really looking strong, with that duo of Suarez and Sturridge causing major headaches to opposing defenses. The return of Coutinho has added yet another element of creativity to the side, while Gerrard remains a stalwart in the middle of the park.

But make no mistake about it. Liverpool will have to be at their best to get the better of Everton, as the Toffees have the talent to compete and also have the crowd behind them.

However, we believe the Reds have more firepower in attack, so we'll be recommending a tight win for the visitors, earning a spot amongst our soccer picks, in what should be another terrific derby.
