The last lap round Premier League looms at the weekend. Join us as we rundown through the soccer odds and serve up choice soccer picks on the season curtain-closer.

Match Day 37 – Leicester City Cap Title in Winning Style
Leicester City officially clinched the Premier League title on the heels of match day 36 when Tottenham Hotspur settled on a 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. That didn’t stop them though from going on to deliver a winning performance over Everton at King Power Stadium, sealing their title win in fine style in front of their delirious fans before the trophy ceremony.

Speaking of the Spurs the fight clearly has gone out of them as they slipped to a lacklustre 2-1 loss at home to Southampton while, elsewhere, Arsenal and Manchester City settled on a draw in the race for a Top 4 finish.

In the relegation battle Sunderland (yet again) emerge winners with back-to-back wins at the weekend over Chelsea and in midweek action over Everton. Newcastle United and Norwich City as a result fall into the relegation quagmire.

Here’s a look at the final lap around England’s top flight with soccer odds courtesy of William Hill and below we preview some of the best bets of the week for your soccer picks.

Chelsea vs. Leicester City
Odds makers are back to their typical negativity by sending Leicester City into their away fixture with Chelsea as the underdogs. What? Granted the title is in the bag, leaving the Foxes, potentially, in the throes of a hangover effect from actually pulling it all off. But that’s just supposition. Let’s face it, they’ve lost just three fixtures all season long (twice to Arsenal and once to Liverpool) and a chance to close the season on the hallowed grounds of Stamford Bridge, scene of last year’s champions, is an opportunity to redline their improbable season.

For our money, Claudio Ranieri’s side to finish on a positive note – be it to win at +190 or draw at +260 – is just a soccer pick too good to ignore. Especially when Chelsea’s season hardly strikes an audible chord (barely a Top 10 finish) and recent form stands at 1-3-2 in their last six fixtures, including a 0-2-1 record in their last three home fixtures. Most recently, they lost to Man City 3-0 and drew to Tottenham 2-2 at Stamford Bridge, both of which Leicester City defeated on the away. The Foxes beat Man City 3-1 at the Etihad and the Spurs 1-0 at White Hart Lane.

Swansea vs. Man City
Manchester City tripped up in the last lap when they failed to beat Arsenal at the Etihad. Instead the Citizens settled on a 2-2 draw that puts their European future in the balancce. It could have been more costly, though, had Man United defeated West Ham United in midweek action. Fortunately for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, the Hammers defeated the Red Devils at Upton Park in a highly entertaining game and thereby maintaining the slight edge in the table. As it is, Man City are two-points ahead of Man United.

Importantly, all is to be decided in the last lap. A win over Swansea would ensure they finish inside the Top 4, which puts a premium on the win, which can be backed at -200 soccer odds at William Hill. However, Swansea City are riding good form into the final round of English top-flight having beaten Liverpool and West Ham in a row. More usefully, they’re riding a four-game winning streak at Liberty Stadium that includes wins over Norwich, Aston Villa Chelsea and Liverpool all while scoring six and conceding just one goal.

In their last ten home fixtures they are 6-3-1. Those aren’t stats to sniff at, which has us considering the (somewhat outrageous) notion Man City aren’t a certain bet. Indeed, Swansea to win or draw looks more appealing, not to mention the value soccer pick. Consider Man City have but two wins in their last eight overall away fixtures, doesn’t it seem more so? Backing a Swansea win or draw separately is worth tickling, but a better option might be the double chance bet where Swansea are priced at +175 soccer odds to win or draw.

Man United vs. Bournemouth
Louis Van Gaal’s tenure at Manchester United looks more and more iffy as the season winds down and the Red Devils continue to falter at the time of asking. Against West Ham United, the Red Devils faced a must-win game if they were to control their destiny and clinch a Top 4 finish. However, the Hammers came back from 2-1 down in the second half to clinch the thrilling 3-2 win. Thereby thwarting Man United’s bid. In the last lap, Man United face Bournemouth and a must-win game, but they’ll also need help from Swansea City if they hope to overtake Man City in the table.

Bournemouth have lost five of their last nine fixtures. The remaining four include three wins and a draw. Against top table opposition, Bournemouth have struggled for the most part this season. As such, they are the whopping +700 underdogs to mastermind the upset at Old Trafford. They have shown they can upset tough opponents though with a 4-3 win over West Ham, a 1-0 win over Chelsea and a scoreless draw to Leicester City in recent weeks.

Granted taking maximum points or forcing the draw at the Old Trafford is going to be a tough ask, but the Cherries shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand. They did win the reverse fixture 2-1 over Man United at Vitality Stadium. Question is with another season in Premier League ensured will the Cherries be up for this fixture? We can’t say unequivocally they won’t be, so we’re chancing these underdogs with a double chance bet on our soccer picks, to win or draw at +220 at bet365.
