The Copa America throws up some intriguing teams, matches and odds this summer and I’ve picked out a goals based prop for you in this article.

Highest Scoring Group
The favourite in this market is Group C, which contains Brazil, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela. In reverse order, the Venezuelans had been scoring and conceding until they met Peru in April and the game saw just one goal.

The Peruvians had been averaging over 2.5 goals, until their last two games which saw three across both, Colombia are capable of scoring heavily, but you tend to find the bigger scores are against minnows like Bahrain.

Brazil showed their defensive weakness in the World Cup, but seem to have arrested that slump, whilst maintaining their goal threat. I can see the other three making life hard for Brazil and at least one tight match.

Group A sees Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia and Mexico. Both Chile and Ecuador have been struggling to score, although the latter put four past Panama last week, while Mexico have scored just two in their last four matches against decent opposition. Bolivia could be involved in a crazy game or two, with goals going in at each end.

My free soccer pick here is Group B at 2.88 (15/8) soccer odds. Argentina have found their scoring boots and of course have Messi, Aguero, Higuain, Tevez and Di Maria. Even without Suarez Uruguay have got goals, while Jamaica have scored 10 in their last five albeit against lesser opposition.

Paraguay are the weak link here for me, but they have been conceding early goals recently and that could lead to very open matches.
