A midweek clash between Roma and Torino could prove to be pivotal in the race for second place in Serie A. We've examined the soccer odds for Tuesday's match and feel we have a good reason on which side to take with our free sports picks.

Odds Overview
The Giallorossi is a clear-cut favorite at the sportsbooks, which shouldn't catch anyone by surprise at all. They're listed at -240 or so to grab the three points, with Torino listed at +885 at 5Dimes and a draw quoted at +370.

AS Roma
Getting right back on track after a hard-fought away loss to Napoli over two weeks ago, Roma has topped Udinese (3-2) and Chievo (2-0) in consecutive victories.

All of the damage was done in the first half against Chievo, with Gervinho and Mattia Destro scoring before the half-time whistle. It was a controlled performance from the Giallorossi, who never really look threatened on their way to the three points.

Though Roma's still a good 14 points behind Juventus for the top spot in the Serie A, positive results are still crucial at this stage, with the team gunning for the second automatic Champions League spot in the standings.

All is well on that front, as the Giallorossi have built up a six-point cushion on Napoli for second place, while also having this match in hand. A win over Torino would all but assure Francesco Totti and company of CL soccer next season.

Moreover, Roma's dominance at home has been well documented, which is why they're such a heavy favorite in the soccer odds for Tuesday. They're still unbeaten (11 wins, three draws) in 14 matches, scoring 33 goals while only letting four in.

Il Toro got a much-needed boost by beating Livorno 3-1 at home over the weekend, a result that should be good for morale ahead of this daunting trip to Stadio Olimpico.

It was the Ciro Immobile show for Torino in the win. He scored all three goals, with a late goal from Luca Silligardi proving to be nothing more than a consolation for the visitors.

Immobile's third goal was his best and put the match essentially to bed. Il Toro looked the part overall, mustering up 18 shots, 11 of which were on goal, while recording 58 percent of the possession in the victory.

Considering Torino had lost four straight matches coming in, it was about time Torino got back on the winning side. That being said, it's unlikely they'll be able to put together any kind of winning streak, with Roma ready and waiting.

Il Toro hasn't been scaring anyone with their away form, having logged four wins, four draws and six losses in 14 matches. They've allowed more goals (20) than they've scored (18) and that's surely not going to change on Tuesday.
