The next place that your Humble Handicapper is looking for cash is Italy and their Serie A. Top of the table Juventus take on 18th place Livorno.

Just to give you a very brief idea of what sort of gulf exists between these two sides your Humble Handicapper can tell you that Juventus are at best soccer odds of 1/100 to win Serie this term (the next best bet is Roma at 25/1, then Napoli at 80/1) and Livorno are ½ (third favourite to be relegated this term).

Enough with the long term odds…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
After 30 games Juventus have won 26, drawn three and lost just the one. Livorno by comparison have won 6 drawn 6 and lost 18. Livorno are just two points behind 17th place Bologna, and have a game in hand but they really could do with an easier opponent than Juventus.

In their 30 league games Juventus have scored 67 goals, that’s more than two per game on average and let in just 20 (that’s about two goals every three games).

Livorno have only managed 29 goals (less than one per game) and have conceded 56, almost two per game.

What does that mean?
All those numbers crunched shows you why the bookies have the basics for this game at 1/7 for a Juventus win, 13/2 for a draw and 16/1 for a Livorno win.

You might like to throw some cash down on a Livorno victory, as sometimes these things happen, but as the bookies have Juventus winning both halves at 4/9, I wouldn’t advise it.

Before their 2-0 away defeat to Napoli, Juventus were on a four game winning run and had outscored their opponents 4-2, not the most inspiring or results and they had only won each of those games by a single goal margin, but as they had only conceded one goal in that run, that’s all they’ve needed to do.

You can get best soccer odds of Juventus winning to nil at 3/5, and just of the record you can get Livorno winning to nil at 60/1. That should tell you who will come out on top…

An insanely safe bet is Juventus to score first at 1/9, but that offers up scant returns. You might be tempted by “no goals” at 20/1. But I see Juventus winning this one and they can’t do that without scoring. Also Livorno have shipped 11 goals in their last five games and haven’t kept a clean sheet since I don’t know when.

The last time these sides met Juventus came out 2-0 winners (a score they have enjoyed twice out of the three most recent meetings) but I feel there will be a mini whitewash here.

Prediction: Juventus win 3-0 available at best soccer odds of 11/2 with sportingbet.
