Roma has been shaky lately, but should still have little trouble overcoming Udinese at home on Sunday. What kind of soccer betting value can we take advantage of?

Odds Overview

The Giallorossi are firmly planted as favorites on their home pitch, listed at roughly -250 to get all three available points. The price on an Udinese win varies greatly, with sportsbooks offering anything in the range of +700 to +850. A draw is approaching +400 soccer odds.

A testing stretch of fixtures has provided trouble for Roma, who haven't been able to win a competitive match since February 22nd.

First it was a 0-0 draw at home against Inter Milan, followed by a 1-0 away loss to Napoli. For a team that's scored 49 goals overall in the league this season, it's been a disappointing couple of matches for the Giallorossi.

Not only did Roma lack quality in front of goal against Napoli, they also lost one of their best players in Kevin Strootman, who suffered knee ligament damage and is still to miss out on the World Cup.

The good news for the Giallorossi is they're likely to get the legendary Francesco Totti back after he missed some time with a groin problem. He's been back training with the first team and seems likely to re-join the starting XI.

Just take a gander at Roma's home form and you'll see why they're favored in such a considerable way They've still yet to lose inside Stadio Olimpico (10 wins, three draws) and have scored 30 goals while allowing just two. It's been an incredible run of form and one the Giallorossi will want to keep protected this weekend.

The Bianconeri have to be chomping at the bit to get back on the pitch after one of their best wins of the season (1-0 over AC Milan) their last time out.

All deadlocked at 0-0 through almost three quarters of the 90 minutes, everything changed when Antonio Di Natale found the back of the net. Udinese's back-line held strong for the remainder of the match, giving the hosts a huge confidence-boosting victory.

Still, we don't want to over-embellish. The Bianconeri have been incredibly disappointing by their standards this season, considering they finished in fifth place last year. Right now you can find them in the 14th spot.

Away form has been miserable for Udinese in 2013/14 and that's a horrible sign with a trip to Stadio Olimpico looming. They have only three wins and two draws against nine losses, with a goal differential of minus 10.

Di Natale is the main inspiration for Udinese, having scored nine league goals for the team so far. He's unlikely to get too many goalscoring chances against Roma, so he has to be opportunistic with everything he gets.

Serie A Pick

There's no chance we're picking against a Roma side that's been completely unstoppable at home this season.

The fact Udinese hasn't been anywhere near a threatening team also plays into our free soccer pick. The Bianconeri have been dreadful away from home and that certainly doesn't bode well for Sunday's showdown.

The Giallorossi will want to put on a much better show following two forgettable performances in a row and we see them doing just that. To get the best value possible, you may want to back Roma to win by two or more goals, which is available at a much more attractive price of +125. Either way, this should be a straightforward win for the hosts.

Pick: Roma 2 Udinese 0
