We got back to our winning ways on Friday night with a trio of winning picks on the Sky and Liberty game. Now with only one game on the Saturday slate, how can we keep the momentum going with another high-value WNBA Pick?

However, there is one huge unknown right now heading into tonight’s game.

Elena Delle Donne missed the Mystics’ matinee on Wednesday and I hammered the Mercury into oblivion thanks to the softest line I’ve seen all season. We don’t have that kind of luxury on Saturday though, as the Mystics are a very reasonable five-point favorites.

However, if Delle-Donne misses a second game in a row, things could once again get very difficult for the Mystics, even at home.

The Aces have turned into one of the most dominant defenses in the WNBA this season. Led by Liz Cambage and A’ja Wilson, the Aces have the league’s best defensive rating at 90.4.

Potentially without Delle-Donne again on Saturday, the Mystics will have very little to stand in the way of the Aces; dynamic and dominant frontcourt. We saw it on Wednesday with Brittany Griner and DeWanna Bonner absolutely destroying the Mystics defense.

Emma Meesseman will be back for Washington on Saturday, which will help their interior defense some, but nothing will help them if Delle-Donne is still out with a broken nose.

EDD is also reportedly still going through concussion testing too, which is not a great sign for her chances of play

While it’s a bit of a risk, especially after the Mystics have gone through two really bad losses, I’m taking the points with the Aces in hopes that Delle-Donne misses again. The Aces’ defense doesn’t miss a beat on the road this season and their offense is slowly rounding into form with the addition of Cambage at the start of the season.

Washington on the other hand has allowed 101.8 points per 100 possessions in their last five games. Don’t expect that to get much better Saturday with Vegas coming to town.
