We split a pair of WNBA Picks on Saturday with the Sky hanging in to cover, while the Fever were blown out of the water. Now Indiana is back in action out on Vegas on the second night of a back-to-back.

It’s no secret that this is a tough part of the schedule for Indiana, but combining travel issues at the beginning of the week, this team is probably pretty tired tonight.

On the other hand, you have the Aces at home and rested. They have played two fewer games than Indiana this season and they have had the schedule gods on their side recently. They are in the midst of a stretch where they play six of seven games at home and the one loan road game was a 30-minute flight away in Los Angeles.

After playing in LA on Thursday, the Aces have had plenty of time to rest and prepare for a scrappy but otherwise beatable Fever team.

The Fever’s issues tonight will be slowing down the frontcourt stars of Vegas. Liz Cambage is going to be a tough cover for Natalie Achonwa. If the Fever choose to double team Cambage, A’ja Wilson and Kayla McBride will just benefit more.

If you’re the Fever, who started this week with a 24-hour travel nightmare, followed by this back-to-back, I can’t see how they will compete early in this one. I am honestly thinking about their ability to cover the full game spread, but right now the Aces are the play in the first quarter.

Vegas owns a 106.8 offensive rating in the first quarter of their home games this season, while only allowing 88.8.

The Fever on the other hand have a strong first quarter defense, but over their last three games that has started to correct itself, while the Aces own the league’s best first quarter defensive rating over their last three games.
