After a winter break, the most important European soccer competition is back with the knock-out stages. Teams are fighting for the UCL trophy, with the best 16 teams playing a double-leg match to reach the quarterfinals. Let’s find the best value bets in Wednesday’s matches.

Real Madrid vs. PSG

This game is the heavyweight showdown, the most anticipated match of the round, with reigning champion Real Madrid hosting the most expensive team in Europe, Paris Saint-Germain, at Santiago Bernabeu for the first leg. PSG is by far in better shape than their opponents, but it seems like Los Blancos are recovering from their poor La Liga season with some great results in their previous domestic fixtures. Everyone is expecting the French giants and star Neymar to lift the trophy this season, and this game probably will tell us everything about PSG. They smashed the competition, winning 15 points from a possible 18 in the group stage and scoring 25 goals in the process. We already know what a great force they are in Ligue 1, but it will be interesting to see how they will cope with the pressure when facing Real Madrid, the only team to win back-to-back UCL trophies, a team with amazing experience in this competition, a team with brilliant players always capable of winning the most important matches. Real Madrid has won 33 of its last 39 European home fixtures. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player in the UCL history to score in each of the six group stage matches. We expect a goal-fest, a high-scoring affair between two huge attacking firepowers.

Free Soccer Picks: Both teams to score and "over" 2.5 goals at -149 (Coral)Prop bets: Neymar to score 2+ goals at +550 (Betfair)
Cristiano Ronaldo to be anytime goalscorer at +110 (PaddyPower)

FC Porto vs. Liverpool

Both teams enter this match determined to win it and secure an important margin for the second leg. After nine years, Liverpool is back in the Champions League knock-out stages and eager to go deep in the competition. FC Porto is not a walkover, with a decent squad and a difficult side to play, most of all on their turf. The Reds were unbeaten in the group stage qualifying in the last 16 from the first place in their group, while Porto was runner-up in theirs. Liverpool has the second-best attack in the English Premier League after Manchester City with 61 goals scored in 27 matches, and star winger Mo Salah is second on the EPL scoring chart with 22 goals in the top-flight league. Porto has lost just one home match in their 19 home matches in all competitions, but this is their toughest test since the start of their 2017-18 campaign. Liverpool is huge favorites to qualify further, being priced at -303 with Betfair, having the advantage to play the second leg on their turf. We expect an away win, but given Liverpool’s lack of consistency in their defense they will probably concede also.

Free Soccer Pick: Liverpool to win and both teams to score at +320 (WilliamHill)Prop bets: Mo Salah to be anytime goalscorer at +175 (Unibet)
