Real Madrid will try to sign PSG forward Neymar if they can't complete a move for Paul Pogba by the end of the Premier League transfer window.

PSG would prefer to sell Neymar to Real Madrid, as the two teams have a good relationship. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants the player, head coach Zinedine Zidane does not. Neymar prefers to join FC Barcelona but PSG looks to avoid selling him to them.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Neymar trying to return to Barcelona like pic.twitter.com/wlX4THSC7M
— Khalid🎗 (@KH17ID) August 6, 2019
"}[/]

Neymar did not return to Paris Saint-Germain's pre-season activities on time. Back then the time released the following statement:

"On Monday 8 July Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was due to return to pre-season activities with the Paris Saint-Germain senior squad.

Paris Saint-Germain notes that Neymar Jr was not in attendance at the agreed time and place. This was without the club's prior authorization.

The club regrets this situation and will therefore take appropriate action."

Neymar's future in France was up in the air even before that July 8 development, as he was linked with a move back to former club FC Barcelona for some time.

Signing Neymar would be very difficult for any team but Paris Saint-Germain seems to be willing to let him go unless it is to FC Barcelona.

As for Paul Pogba, last April he reportedly told teammates that he wanted to leave Manchester United. Pogba attracted much of the blame for the overall performance of the Red Devils since the moment he returned to the team in 2016 in a record $116 million deal after four years at Juventus.

Pogba is said to be 'crazy' about playing for Real Madrid, especially now that his compatriot and idol Zinedine Zidane is coaching the team again.

Neymar's Team After Summer Transfer Window
(Courtesy of Coral)

FC Barcelona +125

Real Madrid +400

Juventus +400

Manchester United +2400
