Premier League Week 3: Free Soccer Picks

Liverpool vs Arsenal

Saturday 24th August at Anfield

Arsenal roll into Anfield on maximum points. The Gunners defence will have to prove the opening two games were no fluke as they come up against a formidable attack. Weather it be Mo Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino and lets not forget Divock Origi these individuals are always perpetual in their motion. Goals must be on the cards with the attacking quality on show. I see a gulf in class with the defensive match ups. Give me Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip against any Arsenal defensive combinations. These teams sit level on points at the top of the Premier League right now, I believe this will be the closest the London club will be to the Champions League winners this season.

Aston Villa vs Everton

Friday 23rd August at Villa Park

Marco Silva brings his Everton squad to Villa Park on Friday night brimming with confidence. The Toffees have two clean sheets under their belt already, the luxury of having a host of quality new signings to come into the starting line up if the manager wishes. Villa must try and attack from the very first minute to catch the visitors cold. Pace from Lucas Digne from left back and the individual brilliance of Bernard in front of him will keep Villa’s right side on red alert. Richarlison running off Gylfi Sigurdsson must mean the home side defend deep and not allow space in behind. All in all the pace power and vision of Everton should be more than enough to take care of the Premier League newbies.

Sheffield Utd vs Leicester City

Saturday 24th August at Bramall Lane

A coaching masterclass will be needed by Sheffield Utd manager Chris Wilder if the Blades are to contain the likes of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison. Leicester moved the ball forward and very quickly in the second half of last weeks 1-1 draw away at Chelsea. With two draws in two games Leicester City will go all out at Bramall Lane to record their first three points of the season. If both teams put their best foot forward this will be a great advert for the Premier League. The home crowd

created a carnival atmosphere in the last home game which saw the South Yorkshire club put three points on the board. Brendan Rodgers team need to negate this early. Pace in the passing and running game should give the edge to the visitors.
