Two sides with a faltering season meet up on Sunday, when West Bromwich Albion host Tottenham Hotspur in the EPL, this is likely a close game, but as always winning money from the bookies is just a click away.

EPL With SBR: Spurs vs. WBA

After the excitement of the FA Cup and all of those mid-week games, it's time to get back to normality with a league match between West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur. It's not the best of times to support either of those teams but they are still in the right end of the table and only have to worry about how high they will finish rather than their league survival; however that doesn't mean there are any grounds for complacency.

Both sides need a win as Spurs are winless in their last four and West Brom are winless in their last five.

Enough with the hyperbole…WHERE’S THE EMONEY MIKE?

Everybody knows how good Spurs should be and they are 1/12 with the Premier League Odds on a top six finish, and 11/10 on a top four finish, but could likely end up as high as third this season, should Chelsea live up to the doom mongers predictions under Rafa.  What’s more likely is that Tottenham will get into a knife fight scrap with Everton contesting the last Champions League spot. West Brom, despite their poor run of late are having a decent season. The Baggies have not been placed any lower than ninth (where they currently sit) at any point in the league this season, and they are not likely to drop below ninth this coming weekend as the nearest team behind them Stoke, are 4 points off. However with 34 points to their name West Brom are only seven points off 14th place Norwich, so have a real chance to snatch mediocrity from the jaws of a decent season.

This game screams draw from the outset and it's no surprise that the sports books think so as they had a game ending tied at 12/5. Looking at recent history the last time the sides met the game ended 1-1 and out of the last five meetings there's been three draws. I do think the way the season is looking at the minute this game could well be drawn up until the dying minutes, with a the freak decider goal coming from somewhere. Therefore I would say it's definitely worth avoiding the draw and Spurs at 11/10 to win, doesn’t turn Mrs Richardson’s head.

The wife tells me to bet a bit smarter, and get behind the game being draw at half-time and then one side winning on the 90, that’s available at 9/2 for a Spurs win and 7/1 on a West Brom win.

There will be goals, bet accordingly.

I'd say if don't let on either side keeping a clean sheet as from the last five meetings between the sides there's only been one side who managed not to concede a goal, that was Tottenham last year, way back in January, as part of a 1-0 home victory. Crunching numbers further, the last five meetings between these two sides have seen 13 goals. Eight for Tottenham and mere five for West Brom.

That would suggest to victory and a lot of sports picks and football tips have it that way but I think the luck of the green and the home advantage might just all add up to a Baggies win.

Basically, something has to come good for one of the sides soon and West Brom who have been scoring more goals in their recent run, (five in their last four games) look a little bit more tasty for my football betting plate than Tottenham who have only scored a single goal in each of their last three games and then failed to score against QPR in the game before that.

Free Football Tips: A tight game but West Brom win 2-1 available at 13/1 with Bet Victor.
