One week after a good showing against Manchester City, the Reds look for a similar effort versus West Brom at home. What are the odds looking like for Monday's match at Anfield?

Liverpool vs. West Brom

Odds Overview

You may have to look at some different handicapping options if you want to find some value for this clash in Merseyside.

Current football odds have Liverpool favored to the tune of 1/3 on the Premier League Betting Boards, with West Brom at a whopping 17/2 and a draw listed at 4/1. Backing the Reds to win by two goals or more though could be more appealing, as that's priced out at a much more reasonable 20/21.

The Reds have gotten through arguably their toughest domestic stretch of the season and the results weren't too shabby.

Though they could have easily gotten a win against both Arsenal and Manchester City, getting two points out of those away fixtures can still be considered a success.

Thing is, it was the manner in which Liverpool played that is most promising. The Reds dominated possession against the Citizens last weekend and looked far more threatening throughout. Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard both had cracking goals, while Lucas played very well in the holding midfield role.

Reds fans will be ecstatic to see their team return home now, where they have recorded some positive results lately. Liverpool's last three league fixtures at Anfield: a 4-0 win over Fulham, a 3-0 win against Sunderland and a 5-0 thrashing of Norwich City.

It'll be interesting to see whether the likes of Martin Skrtel and Jonjo Shelvey will be given a chance to re-gain the faith of the manager. Both have been in the doghouse lately and could find themselves among the substitutes once more.

West Brom

At one point this season, the Baggies were flying high in the top four, having beaten the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton

The performances have gone downhill though, with West Brom failing to win in the league since December 26. Over their last six matches, the Baggies have lost to Manchester United, Fulham, Reading, Everton and Tottenham, while drawing with Aston Villa.

This drought has dropped West Brom to ninth in the table. That being said, Liverpool will still have to be fully focused at the task at hand on Monday, as the Baggies have plenty of players who can put the ball in the back of the net.

Romelu Lukaku's loan spell at the club has been even better than expected. He's scored a team-leading nine league goals this season and West Brom will try and get everything they can possibly get out of the powerful striker before he returns to Chelsea.

The Baggies can also turn to the likes of Shane Long (six goals and four assists) to get on the score-sheet, while Peter Odemwingie, despite that transfer fiasco with QPR, remains a productive talent who can make a difference too.

Premier League Pick

As good as West Brom have looked at times this season, it's hard to imagine any other result but a fairly comfortable Reds win on Monday.

The Baggies have been poor as of late and have had their fair share of troubles away from home. They've recorded three wins, two draws and seven losses in 12 matches, with a goal differential of minus-eight.

Liverpool meanwhile seems to be improving week by week and simply can't afford to drop any more points, especially at home. If the Reds are to make a serious charge for the top four, they need to start picking up some outright wins, and we think it starts here.

Rodgers' side remembers their 3-0 opening day defeat to West Brom well. We expect them to return the favor for your soccer picks this weekend.
