EPL Liverpool vs. Arsenal
Looking at the last two matches that these teams have played, Liverpool managed to beat Norwich 5-0 and Arsenal had a powerhouse performance against West Ham scoring four goals in 11 min and finishing the match 5-1. But when they come head-to-head only a lunatic would expect to see a continuation of that sort of scoring, therefore as Mrs Richardson is so want to often say… by the way 5-5 is at 249/1 with the bookies.
Arsenal produced a sparkling ceremony to record their first league win in 2013, on Wednesday night with victory against West Ham. While over in the Liverpool Scouse strikers Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge started together for the first time and scored as the Pool put five past Norwich without reply at Anfield, on Saturday.
Enough with what’s already happened…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
That's all well and good but how these two teams doing when they played against one another, well Liverpool have won just one of their last 11 Premier League games against Arsenal, that's probably why the bookies have an away win at 11/5 a home win at 5/4 and a draw at 12/5. It's probably not a crazy idea to invest a little bit of money backing a draw as in the last 11 top flight matches between these clubs, six matches have ended in a draw.
If you want to get really historic about this sort of thing or you may be just like big numbers, you should know that it will be the 213th time the two sides have met in their history, with Liverpool on 82 victories to Arsenal's 76. But then again not even the most rabid Liverpool fan, would say that Liverpool 2013 are anywhere like the calibre of Liverpool's glory days, where the club would go out and collect silverware for fun.
Maybe this could be the start of a new dawn for the ‘Pool, they are looking quite tasty in the league these days and am currently 400/1 to win the league, that might sound like horribly bad betting odds sat next to talk about Liverpool's renaissance however considering that Arsenal are 300/1 and even fourth placed Tottenham are 200/1 to win the league, any side outside of Manchester who has those sort of odds is an interesting proposition.
Happy valentine’s day Mrs Richardson(?)
However bets on Liverpool league glory will certainly be put on hold for at least another couple of season and the most important thing is that I get some money in the bank before Valentine's Day, because Mrs Richardson doesn't like me skimping on Valentines presents. Despite Liverpool's good fortune of late I'm more interested in the fact that the last time these sides met… was the first victory for Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, and they had not won at Arsenal since 2000 when a Titi Camara goal gave them a 1-0 win.
Therefore I think this game will be Arsenal win.
Don't scuander your football betting tickets on Arsenal winning with a clean sheet as Liverpool have scored in each of their last 12 games - their best run since September 2009, when they found the net 23 games in a row. Or maybe that just means that this is the right time to bet on Arsenal winning with a clean sheet therefore I say spread your money around, don't bet on an utterly one-sided game but do bet on a home victory and consider the odds before you make a click with the bookies and invest your hard earned. 0-0 is at 14/1, 1-1 is at 6/1, 2-0 to Arsenal is at 10/1 and a 2-0 win to Liverpool is at 20/1.
