The pressure could have been on Chelsea to win the title with Liverpool visiting, but in true Jose Mourinho style, the job is done. So how will they approach this game? William Hill's Lee Phelps has a view on that and the odds for his free betting pick.

Chelsea's superb Premier League season was crowned with confirmation of them as champions last weekend, now they have three games left to potentially reach 92 points. Liverpool have a very faint hope of finishing fourth, but in truth I’m not sure they deserve it, given some of the poor displays we have seen from such a talented bunch.

Chelsea
Jose Mourinho’s team has showed so many different elements this season, starting off by scoring goals galore with Diego Costa leading the line and it has been under pinned by the league’s best defence, with 17 clean sheets and just 27 goals conceded. These numbers are great to keep in mind when looking at the soccer odds.

On top of that they have the PFA Player of the year in Eden Hazard, who has been consistently excellent throughout the campaign.

The price for the home win of 2.1 is way too big and seems to be assuming the Blues will down tools and not try now they have won the title. That’s not what Mourinho’s teams have done in the past. He is a winner and his team plays in his image. The only change I could see would be a more attacking style with the shackles thrown off a little.

It’s worth remembering the battles Chelsea and Liverpool have had over the years too, there is no love lost between the clubs, so why would they sully that great home record against one of their rivals?

Liverpool
The loss of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge means Liverpool have missed a combined 51 goals this season. You only have to look at how many they have scored in total to see where the issues lie.

When Sturridge plays, Liverpool have won 67% of games in all competitions against 42% without. We’re told Mario Balotelli misses this game, but that is far less of a worry.

What it does mean is the Reds are light up front and, if I’m correct that Chelsea open up more, there is no way Liverpool can outscore them at Stamford Bridge. They have conceded just seven goals at home in the top-flight and have kept four clean sheets in their last six.

Soccer picks
For my soccer picks, I’m expecting a strong performance from Chelsea here against a Liverpool team who struggle against their top six rivals, especially Mourinho – he has won eight and lost just one of 10 Premier League matches as a coach against the Merseysiders.
