The clash between Leicester City and Newcastle United is a must-see game on Saturday, with huge implications for the bottom of the Premier League table. Check out our preview and soccer picks.

Leicester City Look To Bounce Back
Leicester City's four-game winning streak was snapped on Tuesday behind a valiant 3-1 loss to Chelsea at King Power Stadium. In their second home game this week, the Foxes will look to bounce back at the expense of Newcastle United, as they continue to fight for Premier League survival.

Losing to the inevitable league champions Chelsea was to be expected on Tuesday. To put it another way: nobody actually expected Leicester City to outfox Jose Mourinho and his precious Blues even though the Foxes were enjoying encouraging form ahead of their date. The result went according to market expectations and, it must be said,  Leicester City shouldn't be too disappointed either.

Nor should it affect their preparations for this weekend's game, which serves up a better matchup for them and is within a reasonable realm to win. Particularly when taking stock of Newcastle's horrible run of form of late – a seven game losing streak that dates back to March 4th  – together with Leicester City's solid home form that features just one loss at King Power Stadium since early February (that's this week's loss to Chelsea, mind).

As it is, the soccer betting outlook is exceedingly favourable with the Foxes matched as the -110 favourites on the Premier League odds board to win outright. The draw, meanwhile, is trading at large +270 soccer odds, as is a win by the visitors that is priced at +333 soccer odds. That's a telling sign that a cheery afternoon is expected for the Foxes faithful.

Leicester City are sat in 17th place in the Premier League table, behind an 8-7-19 mark and 31 points. They are just a point ahead of Sunderland and the drop zone with four games left on the season. Home form stands at 4-5-7 going into week 35 of Premier League betting, while road form is 4-2-12. Where the form table is concerned, they are up there with some of the best teams in the league after going on a tear in April. They are 4-0-2 in their last six games, which includes a 2-0-1 mark both home and on the road.

Newcastle United Continue To Lose Ground
Newcastle United are sat at the bottom of the form table going into week 35 EPL betting, having lost all six of their last six games. To say they can't seem to buy a win no matter how hard they try right now, is an understatement. They are in serious trouble, fast slipping down the table.

Granted those defeats have involved mostly middleweights and heavyweights in the league, but relegation threatened Sunderland also got into the win column at their expense. What's more, earlier this season, Leicester City beat Newcastle United in FA Cup action at home.

As it is, they are ranked 14th with a 9-8-17 mark and 35 points, but with just five points separating them and the drop zone, safety isn't assured. Most concerning for the Magpies is questionable road form. To date, they have just three road wins to their credit and four draws in 17 trips around the league. As well, they are scoreless in their last four outings, losing by a combined score of 11-0. Yikes.

Soccer Betting Verdict:
These two sides boast such contrasting form, the balance quite rightly tips in favour of Leicester City on the soccer odds board as the -110 favourites to win outright. They're going to have to deal with some tired legs, having played on Tuesday against the title favourites Chelsea. But with the Magpies having the dubious honour of being the worst team in the Premier League right now, it shouldn't deter soccer bettors from backing the Foxes on their soccer picks.
