With 8 games kicking off on April 1st (and a few good ones in there too) we need to be careful to make sure that our betting doesn’t make a fool of us this week. Let’s see what we can find out.

Everything is looking good for the home side in the Merseyside derby. Not only do Liverpool has home advantage but Everton just lost an important player in their set-up with the injury to Seamus Coleman. Funes Mori is also reported as injured for this one so the Everton defense suddenly starts to look a little stretched. At -137 for a home win, betting on Liverpool won’t make you rich but it does seem like the sensible choice.

Burnley vs Tottenham is one of the 6 games kicking off at 3pm and with Burnley’s home record Tottenham are going to find this one tough. Spurs are also still missing Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela (who has now missed half the season) so this is looking tough for them. No bet in this one for me.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace is a game to keep an eye on. The home win looks almost inevitable here and odds of Chelsea -1.5 look reasonable at -112. That’s not my bet, though, instead I’m going for Chelsea To Win To Nil at -109. Almost the same reward for a bet that will pay out a 1-0 win? I’ll take that.

Hull City vs West Ham screams out a draw to me. Both sides have fluctuating form and the +235 on offer has enough value to get me involved.

Leicester’s recent home form has plenty of people backing the home side in their game against Stoke but for me, this is an away win. This one is all about the value so get on the +301 on offer while it lasts.

Manchester United vs West Brom is another game I’m going to skip. This game has seen some right tear ups in recent history and the viewing public would like more of the same. Unfortunately, I don’t think this Jose Mourinho led side wants to get involved in that kind of game. Let’s hope for something special.

Watford vs Sunderland and Southampton v Bournemouth are two more games I’m staying out of and that wraps up Saturday.

Swansea vs Middlesbrough starts Sunday and the home win is interesting me at evens. Of course, this isn’t the big game of the day but it’s a nice one to get us started.

The “Big” match is, of course, Arsenal vs Manchester City and I really like the away side in this one. Nothing to do with Arsenals recent form, I just think City match up well against the Gunners and are the kind of team they like to play against. This should be a really entertaining match even if no sky banners get hired on this occasion.
