One fixture looms large over all others this weekend and once again, Manchester United are in the limelight. We’ve got to wait until the last game of the round but what a match it promises to be.

More on that, later.

The first game of the weekend is West Ham v Chelsea and even at low odds, I can see no reason not to back Chelsea in this one. Pinnacle is offering an away win at -200 and although that seems prohibitively low, it’s a relatively risk-free way of making some money. Chelsea is a much the better side in this one and they will demonstrate it against the London rivals this weekend.

The next game is tough for me as I think both Burnley and Watford have been good money makers for me this season. I think both sides will find their way to goal in this one and so, odds of -105 with William Hill is a very nice offer and one I’m happy to take.

Crystal Palace have been steadily improving since Roy Hodgson came in as manager. At+104 with BetVictor there is some value for anyone looking to back them this weekend. Their opponents, Bournemouth, play nice football but have lacked a cutting edge so far this season.

Huddersfield v Brighton was a Championship match last season and it will be interesting to see what effect Premier League football has had on these sides when they face each other. I’m expecting 100mph football but no huge display of class. No bet for me.

Swansea v West Brom is probably my big risk of the week. Swansea have been awful this season but I’ve no belief in Alan Pardew as a manager and I think Swansea could pull off the shock this weekend. At +170 (Pinnacle) there is value here as well.

Tottenham face up against Stoke after a relatively light workout in the Champions League midweek. A number of their best players were rested and other big names didn’t have to push too hard for the win. Stoke will be a very different contest on Saturday and as I a) don’t like to bet on Spurs games and b) really don’t like to bet on Spurs straight after a European match, I’m staying out of this one.

Newcastle v Leicester finish the day’s football off but I’ve got nothing in this one so I’m letting it slip by me.

Sunday's first game is the only “non-derby” match and it will probably be the one that gets the leats attention because of that. The odds for an away win are pretty good and as Arsenal have the advantage in every metric I measure, I can’t see any reason not to take the -103 Pinnacle have for us.

Liverpool v Everton should be great fun to watch, quality could suffer because both sides will want to win so much but it will be entertaining. I’m on BTTS (Yes) at -125 with BetVictor. Expect Everton to pinch a goal from a set-piece and Liverpool to socre at least one on the break.

Then, the big one. Manchester rivals and the two sides most likely to finish at the top of the table in May. Manchester United have home advantage but Manchester City have the better all round side (and the better manager in my book). Unfortunately, I don’t see an real value in this one so I’m going to have to reserve this one as a game to watch but not a game for betting.
