Premier League match day 31 is set to get underway this weekend with a slew of pivotal matchups. Find out what soccer odds are trading across sports betting platforms.

Match Day 30 Recap
Despite the watered down soccer betting menu in the last lap, on account of FA Cup action meddling with the schedule, there were plenty of thrills on hand. Leicester City advanced their lead atop the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over Newcastle United at King Power while Tottenham kept the pressure on with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park. Manchester City, however, leaked points to Norwich City after they settled on a scoreless draw.

As it is, Leicester City have a five-point edge over Tottenham in the table while pre-season title favourites across several sportsbook platforms, Manchester City (with a game in hand), drift 12 points off pace.

Here we look at match day 31 soccer odds currently trading at bet365 (Table 1), and below we preview several key matchups with the best angles for profit and serve up choice soccer picks.

Everton vs. Arsenal
The wheels are well and truly off: one win in the last eight fixtures across several competitions has Arsenal hitting a nadir that feels defining, at least for their long-time manager Arsene Wenger. The Gunners wobbled in recent weeks, to the detriment of their Premier League title bid. Back-to-back losses to Manchester United and Swansea City followed by a draw to Tottenham has Arsenal sat in third place in the table and 11 points adrift of Leicester City atop the table. The upshot of which, they are now trading at large +650 soccer odds to win the Premier League title at bet365.

Indeed, their last Premier League win was a month ago when they, somewhat ironically, beat Leicester City 2-1 at the Emirates. Most recently, Arsenal are coming off a 3-1 loss to Barcelona at Camp Nou, marking the second leg of their Champions League R16 tie. The defeat was to all intents and purposes inevitable following Barcelona’s win at the Emirates a week prior.

Overall, Arsenal fans have very little to cheer about. Once again, the only bright spot on the season appears to be FA Cup glory – unless, of course, they find a way to bugger that, which if they continue on their poor vein of form might not be so shocking.

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back at the expense of an inconsistent Everton on match day 31, revive what slim hopes they have left on the season. It’s not entirely impossible but how can soccer bettors part with their good money on a very flimsy “maybe?” Everton are coming off a big win over Chelsea in FA Cup this weekend and buoyed by that success, Roberto Martinez’s side might fancy their chances against the Gunners, who are going through an existential crisis it seems – or something of the kind.

The market couldn’t be coyer than it is with both Everton and Arsenal trading on +170 soccer odds to win outright. Neither side has been consistent of late nor odds makers are about to disparage either side for it, but for our money we’re banking on the hosts to come through at Goodison Park. It’s not the surest of bets on the week’s card, but with the Gunners deflated and returning from a disappointing trip to Barcelona they are there for the taking.

Chelsea vs. West Ham
West Ham United are riding a wave of good form into the weekend’s clash with Chelsea. They are undefeated in their last seven fixtures (five wins and two draws) across several competitions, up to fifth in the Premier League table and still alive in FA Cup after a 1-1 draw to Manchester United at the weekend. By contrast, Chelsea have regressed for the first time since Guus Hiddink took over the reins; a draw to Stoke City in Premier League followed by back-to-back losses in Champions League and FA Cup have the Blues winless in their last three fixtures, desperate to get back into the win column. Despite this dip in form, they enter their pivotal clash with the Hammers as the firm favourites at -133 or thereabouts depending on your sportsbook of choice. One wonders whether that’s just barefaced optimism. Put it this way, given West Ham’s current form, those soccer odds do look rather inflated, and the Hammers certainly deserve more consideration than their +425 soccer odds afford. Simply because the soccer odds are so lopsided, we can’t resist tickling Slavan Bilic’s Hammers on our soccer picks to mastermind the upset at Stamford Bridge at +425. Consider they are only two points adrift of Man City (fourth in the table) and a potential spot in Champions League next season. That’s incentive if there ever was any to go into Stamford Bridge with a mind to wrestle a result. That can be played on your soccer picks as well with a double result bet of West Ham to win or draw at +110.

Crystal Palace vs. Leicester

The pressure is on Leicester City to underline their top of the table credentials when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Odds makers serve up the Foxes as the notional faves, albeit at + 150 soccer odds or thereabouts depending on your bookie. Once again, those soccer odds have the whiff of doubt about them, a refusal to buy what they are selling despite the evidence that suggests otherwise. Leicester City have passed just about every single test thrown at them this season – they are 18-9-3 on the season, which includes a 9-4-2 mark on their travels. Is there any cause to doubt they would answer at the time of asking? Consider Crystal Palace are without a Premier League win in their last 12 fixtures (eight losses and four draws). Take Leicester City on your soccer picks without a second thought.

Tottenham vs. Bournemouth
Maurice Pochettino’s under heavy criticism for dumping his side’s European bid against Borussia Dortmund in favour of a concentrated push for the Premier League title – or so his starting XI decisions for Europa League R16 seemed to imply. As such, this weekend’s date with a dangerous and opportunistic Bournemouth is a must-win game otherwise it might all backfire on him. In no uncertain terms, the pressure is going to be on the Spurs to collect maximum points at the expense of Bournemouth. Odds makers are tipping this game in favour of the Spurs at White Hart Lane, matched at -188 across most sports betting platforms (The Greek prices a Spurs win at a high of -210), all while sending Bournemouth into the clash as the staggering underdogs. However, Bournemouth comes into this game on a bit of a verve and swagger with three straight wins in Premier League at the expense of Southampton, Newcastle United and Swansea City. Heck, they are undefeated in their last seven away trips across several competitions. Surely that kind of form should be taken seriously; not to mention, it must give them a measure of confidence here to upset the soccer odds. For our money, we’re rather inclined to tickle the plucky Cherries on our soccer picks, by backing them to win or draw at +160 at bet365.
