Live Premier League Betting Odds

Match Day 2 Preview
After a round of upsets and surprises in week 1 getting England’s top flight well and truly underway, week 2 looms on the horizon, serving up several intense rivalries set to kick off, a couple of key matchups and one pivotal showdown between the top two favorites for the title. So without further ado, let’s get cracking with our soccer picks.

Friday, August 14

Aston Villa +450 vs. Manchester United -138; Draw+280
Both Aston Villa and Manchester United will look to continue their winning form on the new season when they collide at Villa Park on Friday. Man U were rather underwhelming in round 1 against Tottenham, which could give Aston Villa a measure of optimism. However, the Premier League odds are stacked heavily against Aston Villa, largely down to a head-to-head record that is alarmingly bleak. They’ve not beaten Man U in 11 straight meetings and haven’t won at home to Man U in almost 16 years. Last year’s clash at Villa Park resulted in a 1-1 draw.

Soccer Picks: Man U -138

Saturday, August 15

Southampton -105 vs. Everton +333, Draw +260
Both teams will be looking to clinch their first win on the season after succumbing to the 2-2 draw in their respective week 1 games. Southampton and Everton are quite offensive-minded, which suggests we’re sure to see plenty of goals here. (Over 2.5 is trading at a tempting +115 and Yes for Both Teams to Score is decent value at -110). We’re leaning towards Southampton at home at -105 on our soccer picks.

Soccer Picks: Southampton -105

Sunderland +150 vs. Norwich +210; Draw +230
Sunderland were quite poor in their opening account against Leicester City and that must have left an indelible impression on odds makers as they send the Black Cats into match day 2 against promoted Norwich on a tight soccer betting line as the notional home favorites at +150 soccer odds. Norwich, meanwhile, did impress even though they slumped to an opening 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace and they go into this game as the +210 underdogs. Still, one match doesn’t determine an entire season. We’re expecting Dick Advocaat’s boys to perk up in round 2, for what is a winnable game.

Soccer Picks: Sunderland +150

Swansea City -105 vs. Newcastle United +333; Draw +260
Swansea City are coming off a 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend. A commendable result, but one they must not allow to get to their heads or they might underestimate Newcastle United. The Magpies held Southampton to a 2-2 draw, which is a minor achievement considering the contrasting fortunes the pair enjoyed last season. There’s a lot to like about both these teams, which has us loathe to give the edge significantly one way. As such, we’re looking at the draw at +260 as the value soccer pick.

Soccer Picks: Draw +260

Tottenham -125 vs. Stoke +400; Draw +275
Tottenham were so disappointing in their opening game that even coach Pochettino was extremely frustrated with their account. Stoke City failed to replicate their stunning, season-ending 6-1 win over Liverpool when they hosted the Reds at the Potteries. Indeed, they were rather unfortunate to lose against Liverpool, by a late goal. On the strength of week 1, we fancy Stoke City to bounce back on the away at +400 soccer odds. That’s just too tempting a price not to tickle.

Soccer Picks: Stoke City +400

Watford +130 vs. West Brom +240; Draw +240
Watford played above their heads to force a 2-2 draw on Everton in opening day. West Brom were simply in over theirs when they squared off against Manchester City. While both sides figure to struggle this season, they’ll look upon this match as a winnable game. Watford has home edge at +130 soccer odds, but West Brom could spring the surprise on the promoted hopefuls.

Soccer Picks: West Brom +240

West Ham +125 vs. Leicester +240; Draw +250
Buoyed by a fantastic start to their Premier League campaign with a win over Arsenal at the Emirates, the Hammers look ahead to Leicester City on match day 2. Another side that surprised last weekend. Both will be looking to extend their winning form, but the balance tips in favor of West Ham United on our soccer picks. Frankly, we’re somewhat surprised they are trading at +125 soccer odds to win at home. Snap up the value.

Soccer Picks: West Ham +125

Sunday, August 16

Crystal Palace +425 vs. Arsenal -138; Draw +290
This is going to be a tough game for Arsenal as they look to bounce back from a shocking defeat to West Ham United. This should be a high tempo, up-beat match with plenty of goals (which can be backed at Over 2.5 at -125 or both teams to score at -125). Arsenal should win, but Crystal Palace could win and heap more misery on the Gunners. A two-game losing streak to start the season? That would be quite the shocker! Hard to imagine.

Soccer Picks: Arsenal -138

Man City +110 vs. Chelsea +275; Draw +290
Chelsea’s start to the season is anything but great. They lost to Arsenal in Community Shield and were handed a draw by Swansea City on the hallowed ground of Stamford Bridge. Now, they take on Premier League title rivals Man City, who are sat pretty atop the table. Either side is worthy of a soccer pick, but, for our money, we’re backing the Citizens at home at their tempting +110 price tag.

Soccer Picks: Man City +110

Monday

Liverpool -222 vs. Bournemouth +700; Draw +375
Liverpool won ugly on match day 1 against a respectable opponent in Stoke City. Things would appear to be more straightforward this weekend with a date with AFC Bournemouth. The promoted cherries will be hard pressed to gain a result at Anfield, one would think.

Soccer Picks: Liverpool -222

Live Premier League Odds

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":, "sportsbooksIds":[43,19,93,1096,999996], "LineTypeId":2, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]
