As Premier League enters Week 14, we cover some of the developments in the lead up, including several surprising developments in the Premier League table and on the futures odds board.
Premier League Week 13
Leicester City lead the Premier League table after 13 weeks of the Premier League season! Give the soccer bettor that predicted such a turn of events a prize. Nobody could have seen that coming when the season started and the odds makers served up their Premier League futures odds (See Table 1). Leicester City were one of the longshots to win the title, trading at +20000 or higher depending on your sportsbook of choice. All this is compounded by the fact that defending champions Chelsea are mired in the bottom half of the table, looking to avoid relegation rather than chasing the title as was expected.
Of course, it’s a long season yet and there’s more football to be played before all is said and done. But it does make one think outlandish thoughts about a potential changing of the guard occurring this season upon in England’s top flight.

Recapping Week 13 Main Talking Points
With only Crystal Palace taking on Sunderland in week 13’s lone Monday clash, we recap the main talking points of the weekend.
Leicester City climbed to the top of the table with a commanding 3-0 win over Newcastle United on the road, extending their winning streak to four in row. Moving into second place were Manchester United, who took care of business against Watford with a 2-1 road win.
Surprisingly, Manchester City succumbed to a 4-1 loss to Liverpool at home, a disappointing outcome that drops them into third place in the league, two points behind Leicester City and a point behind Manchester United. Another major loser on the weekend were Arsenal, who slipped to a 2-1 loss on the road to West Bromwich Albion.
Elsewhere, Tottenham beat West Ham United 4-1 and Chelsea took all three points behind a dull 1-0 win over Norwich City. The Blues are now five points clear of the relegation zone and in 15th place in the league.
Speaking of the relegation zone, Aston Villa’s woes continue as they slip to their tenth defeat on the season with a 4-0 loss to Everton on the road. AFC Bournemouth, meanwhile, salvaged a point with a 2-2 draw to Swansea City on the road.
Premier League Futures Ahead of Week 14
Here we look at the Premier League betting landscape before week 14 and how it’s taking shape. There are quite a few surprises, obviously. The order reflects the current order of the table in England’s top flight. (Note: Crystal Palace and Sunderland are yet to play their round of 13 match).

Significant Movers After Week 13
The biggest mover following week 13 are, naturally, Leicester City, who improve from +2500 to +8000 to win the league. That move is a nod to their top of the table position, but it’s not really expected to deliver. That’s evidenced by the fact that Manchester City are still the favourites to win the league, despite falling from -110 to +138 soccer odds. Manchester United also have their soccer odds improve from +600 to +350 following their winning account in week 13. Arsenal, meanwhile, slip from +175 soccer odds to +200. Finally, Chelsea are matched at +4000 soccer odds to win the league, down from preseason favouritism significantly after 13 weeks (See Table 1).
