Leicester continue their fight to stay up in England's top flight this weekend when they take on West Bromwich Albion. Check out our primer for this Premier League clash complete with soccer picks.

West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion are coming off a crushing loss to QPR at home last weekend, when Tony Pulis' team shipped four goals to go with just one win in their last five games in all competitions. As a result, some soccer bettors are wondering whether the bonhomie over Pulis' appointment is over and it's panic time at the Hawthorns?

Back-to-back losses to Aston Villa (Premier League and FA Cup) were followed by a win over Stoke City at the Hawthorns (1-0). Then a visit to Manchester City ensued, which went according to soccer betting market expectations (hardly the biggest surprise) when the Baggies succumbed to a 3-0 away loss, before the debacle at the Hawthorns that saw the Baggies crushed 4-1 by relegation-threatened QPR.

Upon the arrival of new boss Tony Pulis to the Hawthorns, there was an instant upturn in the Baggies' fortunes. West Brom are sat in 14th place, a commendable spot in the table after the rocky start to the season. They boast an 8-9-14 record and 33 points, which includes a 6-3-7 record at home and a 2-6-7 record on the road. They've have pulled seven points away from the relegation zone, but the reality is that they aren't completely safe yet.

The recent poor spate of results are concerning and can't be dismissed entirely. But that's just one way to look at form. Consider three of those five games were on the away, perhaps it might not be as dire as it looks. Certainly, panicking does seem premature.

Looking at just home form, which is pertinent to their upcoming clash with Leicester in week 32 EPL betting, they are 6-0-2 in their last 8 home games with Pulis at the helm. The 1-0 win over the Potters marked the sixth clean sheet from seven home games under the new boss. An impressive run of form that included a 7-0 win over Gateshead (FA Cup), 1-0 win over Hull City, 2-0 win over Swansea City, 4-0 win over West Ham United and a 1-0 win over Southampton.

So the 4-1 loss to QPR must have been a right shocker to Pulis' lads, let alone soccer bettors weighing in on the clash. (It's no secret QPR are the worst road team in England's top flight, going into last weekend with just one away win.) But in the context of their home form since Pulis took over, it does look to be just a hiccup. Returning to top home form, therefore, is a realistic expectation and, in turn, a value soccer pick at +130 or thereabouts depending on your choice sportsbook platform.

Leicester City Fighting For Survival
Leicester prop up the Premier League with a 5-7-18 record and 22 points. They are six points from safety and a popular soccer pick in relegation betting markets. That said they have a game in hand and, crucially, form seems to have improved down the stretch in proportion to the mounting pressure. Can Leister defy the soccer odds?

Leicester City struck an audible chord in soccer betting markets when they clinched the 2-1 win over the Hammers at King Power Stadium. It was a home win, however. On the road, the Foxes have struggled mightily: they are just 2-2-12 through 16 outings and have scored 14 goals while conceding 31. Hence, they are the correct underdogs at +240 to win outright. Heck, even the draw is matched at +240 soccer odds on the Premier League betting board.

Indeed, Leicester City need to keep building momentum if they are to defy the soccer odds and avoid the express return to the Championship. Taking all three points at the expense of West Bromwich Albion, who's defensive record since Pulis took over (all those clean sheets at home0 is comparable to some of the best teams in the league, including league-leading Chelsea.

Soccer Betting Verdict
Last weekend, the Foxes buoyed their top-flight campaign by a win over West Ham and they'll be looking to build on that result this weekend at the Hawthorns. That makes them exceptionally dangerous opponents for Tony Pulis' Baggies, who are also fighting to stay in England's top-flight and who might still be reeling from a 4-1 loss to QPR. Put this way, there's angles for profit on both sides of the coin for your soccer picks.

For our money, however, we're backing Tony Pulis and the Baggies. The Welsh manager is a master tactician with a proven track record of success when it comes to rescuing teams from the relegation noose. He'll have shaped up his team since last weekend and at +130 to win outright they are a good bet to lock down on your soccer picks to return to top form at home.
