Here is My weekend packet of winning Premier League Tips! 4 match-ups that should increase your new shoes fund (and we're not talking about the band) for your Mrs.

Premier League Free Tips: Picks of the Weekend

That most glorious of things... a weekend full of excellent Premier League football betting is upon us again and after a couple of disappointment last weekend Mrs Richardson is expecting lots of money from this weekend's round of games.

It's hard to believe that I was let down by Arsenal and Chelsea and Newcastle in the Premier League recently. So much so that the doghouse at our house is about the renamed Mike's house. Mrs Richardson is always polite and is always grateful for her Christmas gifts if this shoe fund doesn't start swelling before Valentine's Day it could be cold soup for one and flat warm lager on February 14th for your Humble Handicapper.

Enough with the trouble and strife…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

Let's start with a nice safe bet. The defending champions and silver medal position club Manchester City host bottom half of the table Fulham on Saturday at 3PM. While it looks like Manchester City (7/2 to win the league) will be playing bridesmaid to Manchester United (7/19) this season that doesn't mean that Fulham really have any chance at all. I like Fulham, I really do and I think they're safe from relegation (so do the bookie, they’re 16/1 in the Premier League Odds to go down with Stan James) I just think Manchester City have too much quality to let the Cottagers leave the Etihad stadium with any point at all. Bet on goals and the home side winning this one, it’s ¼ with the bookies so there must be more betting this weekend.

The wee club from the North East.

I'm going out on a little bit of a Geordie limb with my next pick because I believe that Newcastle United, will (nay, must!) get something when they host Redding at St James's Park. The Geordies have been having a torrid season of it of late and while their recent run is worse than Redding's I believe that the dark days of winter are about to turn into the grey days of winter around Newcastle and the Toon Army will have a home victory to shout about. That is offered up by the bookmakers at 4/5, and the shortest correct score odds on a Newcastle win are on 1-0 at 6/1 (certainly worth a bet as the Magpies are still without a replacement for Demba Ba). You may wonder why I'm mouthing off quite a constantly about this game, it's possibly because Reading have yet to win an away game all season and this game just doesn't feel like a draw at all.

The Curse of Chelsea

Chelsea may have blown a two goal lead seemingly just to spite me as I backed them to beat Southampton on Wednesday night, but I do feel that when they host Arsenal on Sunday's lunchtime kick-off, London derby or not the blues will come out on top. Arsenal fans could only dream of having Chelsea's problems with an unpopular manager at the helm of the team third in the table surely being preferable to an old friend sitting on a team outside of a Champions League spot. This one is going to go in Chelsea's favour at Evens.

Tricky, Tricky, Tricky

It's not the easiest of weekends for picks, with a relegation six pointer being played out between Wigan and Sunderland, yet another London derby when West Ham host QPR, a mid-table cracker when Swansea host Stoke, not to mention Sunday's Tottenham versus Manchester United game. However I want another pick this weekend and I'm sure you do to, therefore I'm going to go for Liverpool versus Norwich and then throw the full weight of Mrs Richardson's shoe fund behind the home team. Liverpool may not be title contenders (they’re 2000/1 with Bet Victor to won the EPL) and Norwich may already have a couple of decent scalps on their tee-pee wall but I think this game is going to be all about Liverpool. The Scousers will likely still be smarting after their defeat against Manchester United, as they hardly troubled the camp champions in waiting and I think Norwich at Anfield will be the perfect opportunity to Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers to show what they can do against a lesser opponent. Sorry Norwich
