Still not safe from relegation, Sunderland and West Brom know how much is it stake when they meet up at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday. The soccer betting lines are aligned in the favor of the Black Cats – will they come out and get the full three points to ensure their safety?

Odds Overview
Sunderland can be backed at plus money, with oddsmakers listing them at +110 or so at a majority of the sportsbooks. Those of the belief West Brom can give the hosts a run for their money should consider a small play at roughly +330, with a draw at +220.

Keep checking back with to see if there are any more line changes ahead of kickoff.

Not long ago it was mostly agreed upon that Sunderland would have no chance of surviving relegation. They were in dead last and only their matches in hand appeared to be in their favor.

Well, fast forward to today and the Black Cats are one point away from achieving safety in what's been a truly spectacular late-season turnaround.

It all started in Sunderland's trip to Manchester to play City at the Etihad. There they earned a 2-2 draw, which apparently gave the club a massive boost in confidence. The Black Cats then went on to beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and have followed that up with consecutive victories over Cardiff City (4-0 at home) and Manchester United (1-0 away).

Earning seven points out of a possible nine in trips to the Etihad, Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford? Amazing stuff, even if the Red Devils are a shade of what they've been in the past.

Most of the credit has to go to Gus Poyet, who's kept the belief and instilled the necessary confidence in his players. Now Sunderland faces a very winnable match at home in search of their fourth successive league victory.

West Brom
The Baggies have avoided the dreaded relegation and that's all that really matters at the end of the day.

That being said, it's likely been a tough pill to swallow for fans to look on and see their team struggle so much after finishing a very respectable eighth in the Premier League just last season. The decline has been significant and that has to be worrying.

We last saw West Brom play this past weekend in their 1-0 away loss to Arsenal at the Emirates. As has been the case for the entire season, the Baggies lacked any real impetus going forward and were lucky not to concede more goals in all actuality.

No team in the league has picked up more draws (15) than West Brom this term. Can they make life difficult for the surging Black Cats on Wednesday?

According to their away form, it'll be a major challenge. The Baggies have only won three times away from home this season and have a goal differential of -11.

Premier League Pick
How can we not take Sunderland at this point in time? They're on an absolute roll and we don't see why the good times will stop at home against a struggling West Brom outfit.

It's not just that the Black Cats have pulled off some stunning results lately. It's the manner in which they've done so. Poyet has this lost playing some inspired soccer right now and it's been a joy to watch it all unfold.

Black Cats supporters haven't had much to cheer about overall this season, but we think they'll be having a great time here on Wednesday. Look for Sunderland to extend their unbeaten run and ensure their safety in the process.

Pick: Sunderland 3 West Brom 1
