The work Tony Pulis has done since taking over the job has been nothing short of spectacular. Will he lead Crystal Palace to a third successive league victory when they play host to Aston Villa this weekend? Our soccer odds preview is inside.

Odds Overview
The Eagles find themselves favored at right around +115 at the top sportsbooks. When we look over the soccer betting odds, we see Aston Villa listed at just over +300, while a draw can be found at roughly +225.

Crystal Palace
Most knew Tony Pulis would have a positive impact when he agreed to take over as manager, but the work he's done has been truly spectacular.

Palace was in serious danger of relegation, but they've been racking up the points under Pulis and are now seven points clear of the danger zone.

Since a 1-0 away loss at Newcastle, the Eagles have pulled off two great results, the first coming over Chelsea. They beat the Blues 1-0 at home and followed that up by thumping Cardiff City (away from home) in a 3-0 victory.

Now Palace returns back to Selhurst Park, where they've become a side to be reckoned with lately. On the season they have seven wins, two draws and seven defeats in 16 home matches.

The standout player for Pulis recently has been Jason Puncheon, who's been scoring some important goals for the club. He's got five Premier League goals to his name now, with two of those coming in the recent win over Cardiff.

Aston Villa
We wouldn't have faulted you for thinking the Villans were on the rise again after they held on for a huge 1-0 home win over Chelsea.

However, things have deteriorated quickly, with Aston Villa losing three straight matches. They lost to Stoke City (1-4) and Fulham (1-2) at home and Manchester United (1-4) away from home.

The poor run of form has left Villa at 34 points and leaves them needing points in a desperate way. They're not out of the relegation conversation with the way things stand at the moment.

Checking over the Villans' away form in the league this season, we find out they've recorded four wins, five draws and six defeats. They've been quite good defensively (20 goals allowed), but haven't looked very threatening going forward.

Even worse, star striker Christian Benteke, who had tallied 10 league goals, has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Who will Villa have to call on now to get them goals?

Premier League Pick
All of a sudden, on Pulis' watch, teams are starting to fear trips to Selhurst Park, where Palace has proven to be incredibly tough to handle.

Palace have also improved dramatically on the defensive side of things and they get a boost by not having to contend with Benteke. This Villa team has lacked a goalscoring bite all season long and now they're without their best player. Not good.

Momentum is a dangerous thing and the Eagles have it in spades right now, unlike the struggling Villans. We expect the hosts to squeak out the victory in front of their loyal support and will recommend a Palace win with our soccer picks at those short odds of +115.
