Can Crystal Palace continue their winning ways at the expense of Everton? Find out as we preview this week 23 EPL clash, which is nestled on a rather intriguing soccer betting line. We complete our betting preview with our choice soccer picks.

Week 23 EPL Betting
Premier League betting returns to the forefront of soccer odds after a short break to accommodate FA Cup action. On the docket, we have the fixture between Crystal Palace and Everton in week 23, two sides neck-and-neck in the standings. Everton are sat in 12th place while Crystal Palace are in 13th place, both level on 23 points after 22 rounds of EPL action. The current soccer odds board at Bet365 offers Crystal Palace at +175 to Everton at +160 to win straight up while the draw is trading at +220.

At first glance, the proximity in the standings of these two clubs lends this soccer betting outlook an air of appropriateness. Upon further examination however, we think the value is with the home dogs. Here's why.

Crystal Palace On The Up
Since Alan Pardew took over the reins, Crystal Palace have made an immediate impression in England's top-flight table as well as FA Cup. The Eagles are after back-to-back wins over Tottenham and Burnley in EPL and they progressed in FA Cup at the expense of Southampton at the weekend.

Overall, Crystal Palace are 5-8-9 on the season through 22 games, which includes a 3-2-5 mark at home and a 2-6-4 mark on the road. While they are 2-2-2 in their last six EPL fixtures, they are undefeated in their last six games across several competitions with four wins and two draws. Alan Pardew officially assumed the reins ahead of their clash with the Spurs, a game which they won 2-1 at Selhurst Park. The week after, the Eagles soared to a 3-2 win over Burnley on the road and last weekend they beat Southampton 3-2 on the road in FA Cup.

Everton Struggling On Form
Everton are wholly off color and form this season with a 5-8-9 mark through 22 rounds of EPL betting. They are a far cry from their stellar run last season that culminated in a fifth place finish (21-9-8), and it's highly unlikely they are going to match that result this term with just 16 games left on the scheduled; that is, unless they win each and every single game from here onwards.

Roberto Martinez is under pressure to get his lads going. The Toffees are winless in their last six EPL fixtures with a 0-2-4 mark. Any arguments about the schedule being too tough during this stretch can be summarily dismissed. Aside from a date with Man City and Southampton, the remaining four games were against Stoke, Newcastle United, Hull City and West Bromwich, sides that are middleweights at best this season. Overall, the Toffees are 3-5-3 at home and 2-3-6 on the road. Their biggest concern is their poor defending. They've allowed 34 goals against (fourth worst tally in the league) while netting just 30 goals.

Soccer Betting Verdict: Back The Eagles To Win At Home
Three wins is a small sample size with which to assess Pardew's tenure or to go so far as to make grand statements about the Eagles being on the mend, though the signs are certainly positive. At least that seems to be the reluctance echoing blatantly in soccer betting markets by putting this game on a tight soccer betting line with Crystal Palace matched at slightly disadvantaged +175 soccer odds. The form book however stands in stark contrast to this soccer betting market. We'd wager it goes so far as to suggest the Eagles are the smart soccer pick.

Crystal Palace are sat ninth in the form table with a 2-2-2 mark in their last six games, while Everton are dead last in the table with a 0-2-4 mark in their last six games. What's more, the hosts are enjoying much better recent form overall. It's not a coincidence that this rejuvenated form came about on the heels of Pardew's arrival. The Toffees are mired in all sorts of problems on the pitch and we'd wager off the pitch as well. Morale and confidence hitting a new low, it'll take a serious turnaround to beat the Eagles at Selhurst Park this weekend.

Soccer Pick: Crystal Palace +175
