NBA – Minnesota vs. Indiana 7:05 ET  FSNO, FSIN
The average total score of a T-Wolves road contest this year is 213.4 and the average score of an Indiana home game is 188.8. With the total tumbling from 197.5 to 195, one can only surmise those making NBA picks are confident Indiana will be dictating the pace of the game and lowered the number. While the current makeup off these rosters is quite a bit different than in recent years, the OVER is 11-3-1 the past 15 times these teams have hooked up. The actual betting action on this contest has been light to this point, but better than 90 percent of those working the NBA odds are on the UNDER.

NBA Pick– Lean Under

NBA – Miami vs. L.A. Lakers  10:35 ET SS, TWC-SN
Maybe something has changed but the reports we have is Kobe Bryant is “probable”, yet the Lakers have sunk from -2 to a Pick against Miami. Those making NBA picks are familiar with Los Angeles being 12-26, however they 9-4 ATS in last 13. We do acknowledge only one of contests was as a favorite or Pick, making the circumstances somewhat different. The Heat’s 104-90 victory at the Clippers two nights was impressive, yet it was just their second in seven outings. Another way to look at this is if the opening line by sportsbooks had been a Pick, would the line have moved, probably not.

NBA Pick– Slight lean with Los Angeles

NCAA Basketball – Oklahoma vs. West Virginia  7:00 ET  ESPN-N
If you are going to follow one league this season, the Big 12 should be at the top of the list. On any night, any team will be capable of beating another, which suggests underdogs should have value according to this college basketball handicapper. In this conflict, those wagering on this game disagree with my overall viewpoint and have taken West Virginia from -2 to -4 on the. Both teams are coming off defeats and the feeling would appear to be the home team should have the better chance to bounce back. The Mountaineers press the entire floor, but Oklahoma has good guards which should help them. The Sooners are 12-3 ATS after not beating the spread and I’ll take the points going past the key number of three.

NCAA Basketball – Penn State vs. Indiana  7:00 ET  BTN
After breezing through their non-conference slate, Penn State has started 0-3 in Big Ten play, either with bad shooting or matador defense. Yet tonight, they are dwindling underdog on the road in Bloomington. The NCAA basketball odds had the Nittany Lions at +9 and presently the number is at +7.5, largely because in spite of posting just three wins in 14 tries at Indiana, Penn State has 10 covers. Just not certain if the Nittany Lions inconsistent defense can contain the Hoosiers frequently hot shooters.

NHL – N.Y. Islanders vs. N.Y. Rangers  7:05 ET  MSG+, MSG
Both Big Apple hockey teams are at the top of their game, as the Islanders have taken nine of 13 and the Rangers are a sparking 13-1 since
Dec. 8th. The Blueshirts were made -150 money line home favorites on our NHL odds, yet a substantial segment of pucks bettors thought that was too rich and
lowered the Rangers down to -130. Hard to argue with when you realize the road team is 8-1 of late. I will stick with the blazing hot home team
who is playing better overall in both ends of the rink.
