Kansas Speedway is the next stop in the chase to this year’s NASCAR’s Sprint Cup title with the running of this Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400. This is the fifth event in the 10-race playoff and it is slated to start at 2:15 p.m. (ET) and here are SBR's NASCAR picks.

Jimmy Johnson is back in the spotlight in his quest to win a seventh career Sprint Cup title with last Sunday’s victory at Charlotte. Matt Kenseth helped his chances to advance by taking second and Kasey Kahne finished third.

The following is a look at my NASCAR picks, top valued favorite, contender, and longshot to win this Sunday afternoon at Kansas based on betting odds provided by 5Dimes, where you can get a 50% Free Play Bonus. When it comes to betting on NASCAR this is my choice as one of the top online sportsbooks for all motorsports.

Top Valued Favorite

Kevin Harvick started this year’s Chase on a down note with a 20th-place finish at Chicago and the following week he bounced back with a victory at New Hampshire to advance to the next round. The No. 4 Chevrolet is now in a deep hole in this round of the Chase with a 38th-place finish last week at Charlotte due to engine issues and I am betting on his +450 odds that he bounces back again with a win at Kansas. The other reason that I like Harvick this week is that he has now finished first or second in four of his last six Sprint Cup events at this track including a runner-up finish in the first race here this season.

Top Valued Contender

Another Chase driver that has dug himself into an early hole in this round is Denny Hamlin after engine troubles doomed his No. 11 Toyota to a 30th-place finish at Charlotte. His odds to bounce back with a win this week are much longer at +1650, but I believe there is quite a bit of value in that number. Hamlin closed out the regular season with a victory at Richmond to post his third point race win of the year and he did lead last week’s race for 52 laps before engine issues ended his day. Kansas is not one of Denny’s favorite tracks, but he did finish second in this event last season.

Top Valued Longshot

Moving down the list at 5Dimes, I was again stunned to find Chase driver Kurt Busch with such long +2750 odds to win. I went with him last week as my top-valued longshot and he ended up a competitive eighth in the final running order. The No. 41 Chevrolet is currently in fifth place in the Sprint Cup standings with the top eight drivers advancing to the next round so another solid run this week would probably be enough to keep him in title contention. The other big plus adding value to these odds is Busch’s third-place finish at Kansas earlier this season. He has now placed eighth or better in his last three Sprint Cup races here.

Betting Odds for other Notable Drivers

Martin Truex Jr. started this Chase with two checkered flags in the first three events and he joins Harvick at +450 betting odds to win again this week. Both Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson are next on the list at +650 followed by rookie Chase Elliott as +1150 odds to round out the top five. Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, and Matt Kenseth are next at +1350 and joining Hamlin at +1650 odds to win are Joey Logano and Kyle Larson.

[/]{"component":"video", "type":"youtube", "url":"", "videoSize":"Large" }[/]
