NASCAR’s Monster Energy Cup Series wraps up its two-race run at Pocono Raceway Sunday with the running of the Gander Outdoors 400 in a scheduled 2:30 p.m. (ET) start on NBC Sports Network.

Kevin Harvick made his way to the finish line first over Kyle Busch last Sunday at New Hampshire with Aric Almirola crashing the party in third to post his first Top 5 finish of the season.

The betting odds to win this Sunday’s Gander Outdoors 400 at Pocono have been posted at 5Dimes, and the following three drivers offer the best betting value in the current numbers.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Who’s heating up heading into Pocono? ;/a> ;/a>
— NASCAR on NBC (@NASCARonNBC) July 24, 2018
\n\n"}[/]

Top Valued Favorite: Kyle Busch +300

I had Busch as my top favorite last week at +350 odds, and he had the race in the bag until a nifty bump-and-run move by Harvick bumped him to second place. That is why it makes sense to hedge your win bet with a wager on a Top 3 finish as well. The No. 18 Toyota is still at the top of the updated Cup Series standings with a total of 844 points and five victories.

Adding both value and intrigue to this Sunday’s +300 betting odds to win is the head-to-head nature of this race between Busch and Harvick. Earlier in the season at Pocono, Busch finished third with Harvick right behind in fourth place. Going back to the second race at this track last season, Busch was able to take the checkered flag with Harvick on his back bumper in second place. Coming off last week’s close call against his rival, I am betting that Busch edges him out at this venue for third straight time to even the score in the win column at six.

Top Valued Contender: Ryan Blaney +1500

I went with Blaney as my long shot last week at +2200 betting odds, and he turned in a decent performance by taking seventh at New Hampshire. This was on the heels of a near-miss at Kentucky where he ended up second. He has guided his No. 12 Ford to 10 finishes inside the top 10 this season with four of those runs cracking the top five. This level of consistency has the team in ninth place in the current standings with 584 total points.

What really adds value to his betting odds this week is some early success at this track in just his third full-time season racing in the Cup Series. His lone career victory in this series was in the first race at Pocono in 2017, and he is coming off a sixth-place run in the first race this season after starting from the pole.

Top Valued Long Shot: Denny Hamlin +2000

Hamlin has been rather quiet lately with three straight runs outside the top 10, but I still like the value in his odds as a slight long shot to win on Sunday. The No. 11 Toyota has yet to visit the Winner’s Circle this season, but that is not that big of a surprise when you consider that seven different drivers have combined to win the first 20 point races. This team is still in good position for one of 16 playoff spots with 583 total points. That is good enough for 10th place in the standings.

Hamlin’s day ended early at Pocono in the first race this year due to a wreck. Even though all four of his previous victories at this track in a Cup Series event came much earlier in his career, I do like the fact that he finished fourth in this race in 2017.

Odds for Other Notable Drivers

Joining Busch at +300 odds to win are Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. The odds fall off from there with Kyle Larson at +800 and Brad Keselowski at +1200 to round out the top five. Following Blaney at +1500 and joining Hamlin at +2000 are Clint Bowyer and Joey Logano.

SBR NASCAR WEEKLY CONTEST!
