It was a wild one last week as Matt Kenseth wrecked Joey Logano, so what do we have in store as we head to Texas this weekend? Read our betting preview and a check on the betting odds.

Joey Logano was finally forced to pay for his lack of friends in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series when Matt Kenseth intentionally wrecked him in last week’s race at Martinsville. However, the problem is he still managed to lead 207 laps and run 52 fastest laps to earn a ton of points anyways. Anybody that bet on him to win the race really took the hit. Kenseth was suspended for two races pending an appeal while Logano remains focused on finding a way to win a title so while those that bet on the latter last week still have to be upset this could be the time to double down heading in to this week’s race at Texas. Here is a look at the sports picks on the sports odds board for the AAA Texas 500.

About The Track
The Chase for the Sprint Cup advances past the short tracks to the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway where speed and strategy will once again be the key. It’s certainly worth noting that the past seven November races at this track have had one driver completely dominate by leading for at least half of the race with all but one of those drivers starting in the top-five. The cream of the crop is expected to rise again this week with the pressure at its highest and it should be no surprise to see Logano at the top of our list.

Best Bet To Win Outright: Joey Logano +700
The fact that Logano was leading the race when he was intentionally wrecked last week makes it even more painful for those that had their money on him to win the race but those that didn’t see the opportunity that is there heading in to this week with Logano at the top of his game. Logano has absolutely dominated at 1.5-mile tracks and he has the third-most points of any driver over the past five Texas races. No other driver has been as dominant as Logano on 1.5-mile tracks this season and his odds to win dramatically improve this weekend with Kenseth out so don’t be afraid to go back to him again this weekend as the best bet to win this race outright.

Best Bet To Finish Top-Five: Kevin Harvick +600
Harvick is listed as the favorite to win at Texas this weekend for a reason and while we will take Logano as our best bet to win based on his recent dominance and success on 1.5-mile tracks we can’t completely ignore Harvick as a legitimate threat to win this race as well. Harvick has finished second at each of the past two Texas races but he has never actually won the race and despite being the most consistent driver all season he struggled when it came to finding ways to take the checkered flag. Logano is our best bet to win this race outright but Harvick should be a lock for a top-five finish.
