The first three races of NASCAR’s Monster Energy Cup Series 10-race playoff are in the books heading into this Sunday’s race at the Monster Mile at Dover International Speedway. The Gander Outdoors 400 kicks off the next elimination round for the top 12 drivers in the updated standings with a scheduled start of 2 p.m.(ET) on NBC Network.

Longer betting odds prevailed in last Sunday’s race at Charlotte with Ryan Blaney claiming the checkered flag on the ‘roval’ as hybrid of a road course and a traditional run around the racing oval. Jamie McMurray shook things up in the standings by taking second and Clint Bowyer finished third.

The odds to win this Sunday’s race at Dover have been posted by 5Dimes and the following three drivers offer the best value across three different categories.

Top-Valued Favorite: Martin Truex Jr. +400

The defending Cup Series Champion remains in excellent position to defend that title. With a pair of third-place runs at Las Vegas and Richmond before falling back to 14th last Sunday, Truex and the No. 78 Toyota held onto third place in the updated Cup Series standings with a total of 3038 points. He tore up the 10-race playoff last season with four victories, so you know this team is feeling a sense of urgency to get that first win this season at Dover.

Truex took fourth in the first race at Dover this season back in early May. Going back to the 2014 season, he has placed inside the Top 10 in eight of the nine races he ran at this track. This includes a victory in this event in 2016 and a fourth-place finish in last season’s second race here.

Top-Valued Contender: Chase Elliott +1000

With Blaney’s win last Sunday, NASCAR’s young guns are finally making some noise in this year’s playoff. This week, I like Elliott’s chances to join that list with his second Cup Series victory of the year after winning his first career event at Watkins Glenn. The No. 9 Chevrolet racing team is holding down ninth place in the updated standings with 3008 total points. Following a wreck at Las Vegas, Elliott placed fourth at Richmond and sixth at Charlotte in his next two playoff runs.

The third-year vet does not have a wealth of racing experience at the Monster Mile on his side with just five career trips around this tricky oval in a Cup Series event, but he has raced well here with four runs inside the top five. This includes a second-place finish in this event last season.

Top-Valued Longshot: Joey Logano +2500

Once drivers start getting eliminated from title contention, I start looking for the ones still battling to advance to the next round with longer odds. Logano has battled his way to sixth place in the current standings through the first three races with 3014 points and he could move his No. 22 Ford into serious contention with a win on Sunday. He placed fourth at Las Vegas a few weeks back ahead of a 14th-place run at Richmond and a 10th-place finish last Sunday.

Dover has not been one of Logano’s favorite tracks over the course of his Cup Series career with an average finishing position of 14.1, but I am betting on the value in these long odds given his past success in the postseason.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"pt\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Kyle Busch Hanging with Miles: As the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Dover (Del.)
